No seriously, I wanted to write something about them for so long now and now I finally did it! I don't know why I am this motivated lately, probably running fron my problems again, oh well...
This is a tiny bit spicy, just a bit tho I learned from last time, please don't yeet my book again!
On that topic, thus is the eleventh story in this book and we reached over 400 reads! You are amazing, thank you so much for giving me your time and supporting my hobby by keeping me motivated!

I also want to thank everyone that has been interacting with this book. I'm very proud thahere, as that's awfully common in this fandom!

I'm working on the bad ending for "The hunt" and a new chapter for my other book  but we'll see what I get up to, I tend to change my mind every five minutes lately.

The ballroom was bustling with noises, conversation and music as the crowd gently swayed. The party in the aftermath of a big conference, really just an excuse for everyone to forget the shitty compromises they had to make and get drunk on beverages far too expensive for that.
Amidst the crowd two men did their best to not stand out and failed miserably. Well being about two to three heads taller than everyone around you wasn't always a good thing.

"This party sucks...."
"You don't say, really?"
"Don't get cocky with me now, I'm gonna make you eat that sarcasm later tonight."
"I sure as hell hope so, that's the only thing I'm looking forward to when the invite to these bloody conferences arrives every year."

The two stood to the side of the crowd, next to a marble pillar. It made their tall statues stand out less and left them uninterrupted for the most part.
The only thing they were waiting for was for the people there to get more drunk. It made sneaking out way easier. But as luck would have it, they didn't stay undisturbed for too much longer. Two women in extravagant dresses approached them, giggling to themselves and exchanging glances. A few meters away from them they crossed paths and therefore changed places, now one coming up to each of the men. It was noticeable that they were both quite a bit taller than regular human women, maybe around 1.85 meters (Around 6.6 feet I think?).

"Hello gentlemen..." The first woman, approaching the Russian Empire, giggled. They exchanged a glance, both annoyed already.
"Hello ladies, what brings you so far away from the dance floor?" The Russian smiled as he dipped his head down. These women were exchanging grins and giggling like little girls. The one heading for the German Empire, a strong blonde, went to invade his personal space and laid her hands on his chest, fiddling with the iron cross and medals there. She inspected them what seemed to be thoroughly and then looked up at his face, a charming smile on her lips.

"You know, human men are quite easily intimidated by tall women..." She paused briefly to tilt the medal between her fingers and stroke her other hand over the right side of the man's broad chest.
"So, we didn't get to dance with those cowards at all." Now her friend, hair as black as a raven's feathers, also got significantly closer to the Russian and continued the line of thought.
"And we thought men of your statue wouldn't shy away from dancing with women that can actually reach your shoulders..."  Russian Empire couldn't hold back a snort, the remark just caught him so off guard, it was too funny.
German Empire also lightened up a bit at seeing him laugh.

"Alright, you have convinced me young lady. How could I say no to a dance with a woman who has such good humor?" He offered her his hand and she gave him a bright smile at the opportunity to get to dance tonight.
"Well..." The German pushed himself off the pillar behind him and offered his hand to the blonde,
"Who would I be to deny a lady such as yourself a dance?" She too flashed him a smile and took the hand offered to her.
The way to the dance floor was quick and easy, people rather cleared out of the two powerful monarchs' ways than be a nuisance.
