Hello! Straight to the point this didn't turn out as good as it could have and I think I wasn't supposed to focus on Canada, but rather Mexico...
Sorry for that, I might redo it one day...

Thank you so much for the request, it was a struggle, but a fun one and I really enjoyed it!

The perspective kinda switches between Canada and Mexico from time to time, I hope it isn't annoying or too confusing, let me know if it is tho.

Only one person answered under my post about the 3k chapter (Do you not feel like talkingto me about this stuff or not get notifications? ), but my friend is very vocal about what she wants and I talked with someone in the comments and both told me they wanted the RE x GE one. So imma do that for 3k. I'll try to get it to around 4k words at least, but we'll see what my time and motivation will allow me.

I also have done two more mini drafts on paper so more of my handwriting, no one complained and I got a compliment on it so I'm guessing you like, or at least don't mind them.
One is about RE and GE, the other about Soviet Union and his kids.

I think I said everything now? I'm not sure. I wanted to ask if anyone figured out who their grandfather was in the last oneshot and then forgot, so I'll most likely remember after publishing...

Anyone figured that out tho?

The world is unfair. You can love and love and love people, shower them in your affection and still they're not the slightest bit interested in you.
Mexico should know... Canada seemed to be blind when it came to his feelings. He loved him, he had done so for ages now, but the Canadian just wouldn't notice. Maybe he didn't want to notice.
Maybe it was to protect their friendship.
Maybe it was better that way.

Canada was gorgeous, he was tall, had a slim build, fluffy red and white hair, piercing blue eyes and a lot of talent. He was perfect, a muster child to his parents and university. A top student with perfect grades from the best part of the big city. His parents run a successful business, consisting of a clothing line with multiple shops of varying sizes.
Both of them mainly design the stuff they sell and Canada was their golden child.
In his parents' eyes, his brother's didn't fit the bill as successors and co-owners of the company.

They had high hopes and expectations for the Canadian and he knew it. They wanted a trusted family member in the highest management position they currently held themselves. So after his siblings had refused the position one by one, his parents had focused on him.

Canada laughed off any concerns and called it worry for his future.
Mexico called it hyper focused helicopter parenting that did not allow for any room to explore his own wishes in order to make sure he keeps blindly doing as he is told.
Maybe Canada should have listened to his worries and points once or twice...

Canada, even as a top student stayed seated next to an unsure average student, Mexico, and stared at another of the universities top students, Kazakhstan, whenever he could.

The two of them had been friends ever since he could remember, if Mexico was there Canada wasn't far, much to his parents' dismay one might add. So why had nature, the world, the universe, maybe even all three of them decided to force Mexico to suffer in silence?
Perhaps they just liked seeing that...

Mexico wasn't from an exceptionally wealthy or successful family, they were well off, yes, but not nearly as wealthy as Canada's family.

He didn't want to lose the Canadian as his friend, he'd honestly rather drop out of university at this point and bear his own parents' disappointment, but at the same time, he wanted more. He craved more...
Why were humans so prone to the things they can not have in life?
Is it a test?
A cruel joke from evolution?
Maybe both...
