Chapter 20 Loki's POV

The last thing I said to Myra before she broke into a fit of desperation was "I want you. I want to make you my queen." After I said those words she was stumbling across her words and seemed to have 1000 things running through her head at one time. I thought it was actually kind of amusing to watch her squirm around, not being able to find her words. That is until she grabbed her ears and was shaking her head furiously back and forth, almost like she was trying to shake the thought from her head. Why would she do that? I mean she does know I plan to conquer this puny planet and will successfully do so with or without her by my side? I would just prefer to do it with her by my side so I have a beautiful Queen to call mine and so she can help me on my quest to rule the world, she has extraordinary potential and great powers that I can help her understand.

I saw Myra continually shake her head as if she was hearing some horrid noise in her head that nobody else could hear. She fell to her knees because she was so weak and I hit my hand in the glass in attempt to try and break free to see what was wrong with her. Myra looked up at me and most likely saw the concern in my face, she looked weak but tried to stand herself up. I looked past her to see people gathering near the outside of the room we were in, they looked like they were about to barge in her and take Myra away, they had weapons and shields to protect themselves; what were they protecting themselves from? What were they hiding from? Certainly it couldn't have been my sweet Myra.

Myra noticed me looking at them but didn't bother to turn around. I turned my gaze back to a frightened Myra, she looked like she was getting worse and almost like something or someone was doing this to her on purpose and was trying to hurt her. I wouldn't let that happen, I couldn't, I needed her, I don't know what connection we shared that made us feel so bonded together but I need her and I promised myself I wouldn't let anything happen to her, not if I could help it. By now I'm sure my gaze was frantic and panicked, I couldn't care less. I tried to speak to Myra to see if she could hear me. "Myra," she didn't change her stance "Myra please look at me, I need you, I can't lose you, you have to fight this, I know you can" she still looked distressed and I wasn't sure if she understood me or not but I could only hope.

She stood for a moment hanging onto the rail for balance, but fell again, this time landing on one knee. She hit her fist on the ground she was on but I could tell it didn't help her scenario at all, she stopped shaking her head for a moment and had a distant look in her eyes. Without warning she started hitting her head on the rail she had once been holding onto, she constantly hit her head harder and harder with each blow, she started off with control over her actions but then her eyes grew dark and eerie and with every hit they darkened. She was hitting her head off of the railing with such a strong force that she had started to make herself bleed. I was screaming in desperation for her to stop and I was bashing my fist against the glass that was restricting me from running up to her and saving her from herself.

Myra looked as if she tried to fight the force that was forcing her to hit her head and she final mustered enough strength to put her hand on the rail so her head would be cushioned by her hand. The blood from her wound was now on her hand, she stopped what she was doing and pulled her hand away from her head so she could see what was on her hand. Once she discovered her hand was crimson with her own blood her eyes went wide and she looked shocked, she started to stand up leaning onto the rail for balance. Her gaze dropped to the floor and this is when I noticed that the agents started to pile in and tried to surround Myra, I knew this wouldn't end well so I was yelling at them to leave, but to no prevail. Myra grabbed her head again still leaning on the rail for support and I saw the Coulson man walk up to her.

"Don't touch her, leave her alone. Take your men and leave you can't help her" he just looked at me with distain and continued on his path towards Myra. He placed his hand on her shoulder and a cloud of black fog and smoke surrounded her. She looked at me one last time before she completely was taken over by the darkness, and although I knew she couldn't hear me I spoke to her anyways "I will get you out of this, I promise you, Myra" and with that she was completely surrounded and enveloped in the darkness. The power erupted out of her like an explosion. It knocked all of the guards back and flung Coulson onto the ground, this was the moment I was dreading, and I knew it was too late for me to help her while she was in this state and when I was still locked in this cage.

Myra had disappeared into the mist that engulfed her, she was still there physically but not mentally, something or someone was controlling her body now and I don't think it planned to stop anytime soon. I knew if I didn't get her out of here quickly then she may never return and I wasn't going to stand around and let that happen, I couldn't sit here and do nothing while I knew these people would find her and experiment on her and do unspeakable horrors to her. I knew it was time for me to put my plan into motion.
