Chapter 16 Loki's POV

It was dark in the room I was being concealed in, I felt like I was being treated like a child who was on time out, it was infuriating, I am a GOD not some pathetic mortal child being punished.

I heard some people outside the room discussing something vaguely, I couldn't hear much because I was in this container, but I didn't really care for mortal chatter, it was incessant, annoying babble that didn't concern me. I walked to the middle of the cage and sat crossed legged, not waiting for anything in particular but just sitting there contently.

I entered into a meditated state where I was extremely relaxed and calm, I could feel my pulse thump in my chest and slow down with every breath I took. I had tuned out every other noise around me and was at peace. I had heard the sound of the door opening even though I was ignoring everything else.

I wasn't going to speak or acknowledge anybody until they decided to speak to me, and even then I still might ignore them. The person who had walked in was breathing peacefully and took a few steps closer. Just as they were about to reach the container I was being held it the click of the lights sounded and the room was brightly lit with lights. I heard the person scurry away and try to hide behind something to get out of the way from being seen, perhaps this person didn't turn on the lights? Because if they did it wouldn't make sense for them to hide away. Also since they ran that must mean they are either new here or they weren't supposed to be in this room to begin with.

So if this isn't an agent of SHIELD then who was it?

I decided to find out.

So I stood up and stretched my arms out, in the middle of my stretch I felt a pair of eyes on me and felt a familiar tingling feeling in my gut. I directed my attention to the corner and I saw someone hide further back into the corner.

I had a vague idea of who it was, but I needed to be sure

I waited to see if they would show their face again from the darkness but there was no movement, they probably thought I didn't see them, so I made it known that I had.

I took a step closer to the direction they were in and spoke "I know you're there" I said to simply let them know it was no use for them to hide. There was still no movement, I waited for another few minutes before I got annoyed and wanted them to show themselves for once and for all.

"There is no point in hiding anymore" there was a pause for a few seconds but then they started moving, and slowly came out from the corner. As I had suspected it was Myra.

She had her beautiful red locks and was wearing the same outfit from the other day when she was harming herself. I felt so insignificant that day, I couldn't do anything to help her so I stood there helplessly. No matter what I tried I couldn't get that horrid day out of my mind, that terrible day that only happened 2 or so days ago.
*Flashback*
Myra had come into the room and was extremely upset, she had been crying and was clearly wronged by someone, she did what I had seen her do on so many different occasions, she was purposely cutting herself and inflicting self-harm, only this time was different. This time she was more violent and angry, she looked like she had no other choice and she needed to feel something, even if it was pain. This time she wasn't prepared to do it so she grabbed a nail file and used the sharp edge on that. It was much different from any other time I had seen her do it because this time I was witnessing it up front and personal, all of the other times I had been using a hologram, the other times I could only do a little to help her, because I wasn't actually physically there, and this time I was there, I was right there and there was nothing I could do to stop her because I was trapped like an animal in this stupid cage. I hated the feeling of not being able to help her as I watch trapped behind glass. I was able to numb her pain but that was about it. When she was passed out I cried out for someone to help her, I didn't even care if I looked weak or not, I needed her alive and needed to make sure she was ok. The hulk man walked in after hearing me scream, and looked at me and then followed my gaze to Myra, he ran over to her and immediately was shaking her and checking for a pulse, he was screaming her name but she never responded finally someone had heard him screaming out for help and he lifted up her body, and with the help of some other people she was taken into medical care and was being treated. I will never admit it but I truly did owe Dr. Banner my life for saving Myra that day. For that I will be forever grateful and he has earned my gratitude and respect without even knowing it; for the gracious thing he did I will forever be in his debt. He will never know that what he did had a huge effect on me and would benefit me from her being alive, but I could tell that he cared for Myra as well. I will forever thank him for saving my beloved Myra.
*End of flashback*

I shook the thought from my head and came back to reality, Myra was still beautiful even when she was wearing her old clothes and she looked a bit roughed up, her hair was a bit frizzy, but she still looked the same to me; beautiful, the only difference is she had a bandage on her wrist, and a cut on her lip and some bruising.

I finally decided to break the silence and talked to her

"Hello" I said

"Hi" she said a bit skeptical I just smiled at her and she spoke again

"I'm Myra" she said innocently

"I know who you are" I replied
She twisted up her face in confusion and I could tell she was in deep thought

"I'm sorry, have we met before?" she asked

I chuckled to myself "no, we have not"

"Then how-"she began, but I cut her off

"It's not important how I know you, all you need to know is that I do"

"Ok, well what's your name?" she asked

"My name is not important" I replied to her
She didn't seem to like that answer so she got inpatient

"Oh, just tell me your name" she said

I was taken back slightly, because I was not used to people speaking to me in that tone. I was thinking if I should tell her my name or not because I wasn't sure what she had heard from these people, I was afraid that I was going to say my name and she would look at me with horror in her eyes and run in the other direction not looking back, she was still looking at me waiting for an answer so despite everything I told her, it was the only way to know for sure if she had heard of me before.

"My name is Loki" I said cautiously waiting to see her reaction

She simply smiled and replied "nice to meet you Loki"
I was a bit stunned that she hadn't heard anything about me or wasn't afraid of me but I guess that was a good thing.

"Why are you here? Why aren't you running back to those pathetic mortals, who put me in this god forsaken cage?" I asked expecting her to have been gone by now

"I don't know why I'm here, I was drawn to this room for some reason, but I don't plan on going back to those people anytime soon because believe me I have my own problems with them" she replied in a slightly annoyed tone from talking about those people

"I'm glad to know we're on the same page, Myra" I said raising my eyebrows and grinning

she nodded in agreement but she was unsure of what to think. If only she knew what I had in store for her, for us, even for the world. I would have to get to know her more to be sure that she was on my side, I of course knew plenty about her but I needed to be able to see her and let her know I am not her enemy. I grinned at the thought of all of this and she just smiled cautiously.

"Oh my dear Myra, what fun awaits us, the journey ahead will be an exciting one" I thought to myself
