Chapter 4 Loki's POV

Chapter 4 Loki's POV:

After I secured a spot on the throne, I figured I'd check in on the ice mortal, when I pulled up the portal map I couldn't find her. I was looking around the park that I had last seen her in and was browsing around the area, after not seeing her on any side streets I went back to looking in the park, I was about to close the portal when I felt a strange connection drawing me towards a girl with bright red hair, it was similar to the connection I had with the other girl, but it wasn't her. I decided to watch the red haired girl anyways considering I couldn't find the ice mortal, although it felt like she was close.

The girl walked up to a boy who was standing near a bench, she was talking to him but I didn't pay much attention to what they were saying, I then say the red haired girl looking around her as if to see if anyone was watching, she then transformed into the brunette with blue eyes that I had seen before. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, I rubbed my eyes to see if they were playing a trick on me, but to no avail, the brunette girl was really there, I started listening to the conversation they were having. "Woah it really is you!" The boy said "ya sorry about that I forgot I changed my appearance this morning to avoid being noticed" the girl commented "I didn't even know you could do that Myra!?" He exclaimed 'so, her name is Myra' I thought "ya, I control the elements and can change my appearance" She said "that's awesome! I wish I could do that!" The boy said excitedly She smiled in response "so anyways I'm here and you can see...." I stopped listening and took in the information I had just heard, 'so, her name is Myra, she can control all the elements, not just ice, and she has the ability to change her appearance' this girl has more in common with  me than I thought.

I didn't have the capability to control all the elements but I controlled ice, and so did she, I was able to morph into anybody I felt like, but it seemed this girl apparently named 'Myra' could change into anybody she so pleased at any moment and didn't need to morph into somebody else, it's like she could create herself as another person. She seemed strong and could be more of use than I originally thought, maybe our connection is so strong because our powers are very similar, and not just the ice power. I liked this girl more than I did before, I wondered if she had any other powers that she hadn't shown yet? She would be a good asset to my army, and she could be my slave as well, I enjoyed the idea of that, but then remembered she is simply a mortal, a mewling quim, nothing compared to me, I was not starting to develop feelings for this girl. I watched the girl change her appearance back to a red haired girl and walk to a store, she walked in and an older man was checking her over for cuts or bruises, I didn't pay much attention to what they actually were saying, and just watched.

I was still in shock of this mortals powers, when she was making a small ice storm filled with flurries and snowflakes, it was like she was putting on a show for the older man, all of a sudden she made a big ice sculpture in the form of a dragon, she then changed herself into her original form again to show the old man, and then changed herself back after he said something about protecting her identity, she gave him a hug and then went to a small room in the back of the store and went to sleep. I was glad she had a good place to stay, with someone who would care for her the way she deserved, of course he wouldn't care for her as well as I could but he was good enough for now.

(3rd person POV) But deep down, Loki knew she wasn't like any other pathetic mortal he had seen, and she did posses interesting qualities that separated her from the rest, deep down he knew that he had to have her, and not only in his army, but for himself.
