Nightfall hit in no time, leaving the seven of them to retire to their dorms at last, full and sleepy.

Saying goodnight to Paris at the other end of their hall, then Soraya and Diamond at the middle, Ocean and Eve waltzed back toward their dorm. Side hugging each other, with Ocean's head on her best friend's shoulder and a hand at her waist, and Eve's arm thrown over her shoulders, the two dragged their feet dramatically.

After that hangout and that meal, they'd felt exhausted from the day as a whole.

Once inside, they started up their nightly routine, back at it like they'd never left. And after showering and doing skincare, one person after the other, it was finally time for bed, the stillness of the night welcoming the sophomore housing building in an instant.

Though it wasn't necessarily over, the two knew. At least not yet.

Hours and hours had gone by and the pair had had only a few seconds alone together. There was no way they were falling asleep without talking some more one on one tonight.

Using her led lights instead of the fluorescent eye sore that resided amongst her ceiling, Ocean played some music at a low volume before tying her hair up for the night, the first song being Daniel Caesar's 'Always.'

Just when she'd crawled into her bed, swallowing her thick and bare legs under the covers, Eve waltzed through the cracked bathroom door.

An announcement wasn't necessary, nor were any words at all, for the two would come into one another's room all the time, sometimes just to sit in silence and exist in the presence of each other. Tonight was no different, Ocean thought, except for the two large gift bags in her best friend's hands.

Her widening eyes accompanied a surprised grin. "You come bearing gifts now?"

"I do- I do," Eve let her head fall with a chuckling smile, sitting the bags at the foot of Ocean's bed. "Happy late birthday mama... No charge," she winked, her grin deepening the minute her best friend shined an infectious smile.

"Oh Evee," her head tilted with an emotional pout. "You didn't have to do thatt-"

"Yes I did, you know I wasn't going to let it pass without at least getting you something, or multiple somethings-" she spoke while mounting onto the bed as her best friend crossed both legs beneath the blanket, allowing Eve to scoot all the way back and get comfortable. "I'm still upset that I missed it in the first place."

Sighing with a mild grin, she sweetly swept the curve of her finger under Ocean's chin as the girl gave a thankful pouted look, the action being her 'don't mention it.'

Wearing her locs in a pineapple bun, a tank top, and plaid pajama shorts, Eve handed her best friend the first gift bag, passing it over her own lap. Following that, she then watched anxiously and nervously while it was opened, her eyes studying for a reaction. And when Ocean retrieved the paper filling on top to assess what was inside, Eve emitted a grin at the sight of her best friend perking up in a pleased gasp.

"I could marry you right now," she muttered with a head shake, withdrawing a brand new full set of makeup brushes from Sephora. Something she'd been needing.

Folding her arms proudly, Eve chuckled. "Thought we were already married?"

"Rightt, right-" Ocean snapped her fingers like an elderly woman remembering something. It prompted Eve to giggle a bit more. "Well we gotta get our vows renewed or something, I don't kn-" a gasp interrupted the sentence as she snatched her attention to her best friend with a vast smile, followed by a squeal. "Omg, you love meee-"
