Omniscient"Evee can you help me find my glasses?" Ocean looked around in growing panic as the two entered their dorm. "I could've sworn I put them-"
"They sittin' on your head mama, come on let's get you to bed," her best friend chuckled, for she had been just about carrying Ocean all the way to their rooms with the girl's arm over her shoulder and a sturdy hand wrapped around her waist.
"I'm not gonna remember this tomorrow, am I?" she mumbled with a slur as Eve carefully sat her down in her rolling chair, kneeling to remove her shoes.
"Probably not babes," she chuckled again. "But I'll have the aspirin and trash can ready for you."
Silence fell as Eve put Ocean's shoes away before going into the bathroom to wash her hands and find her best friend's makeup remover with three cotton pads. Ocean then rested her drunken and low sitting gaze up upon Eve as her chin was gently held for her forehead to get wiped first.
"Your hands are soft," she whispered, a slow grin soon forming at the sight of Eve's sheepish and humorous smile. "And your smile's pretty..."
"Thanks Shaun," Eve chuckled for a third time, though it all ceased in a single breath the minute fingers wrapped softly around her wrist, rubbing in a sweet caress.
"Can I tell you something?" she muttered while her attention was focused on her touch, not noticing the way Eve bit her lip with a flustered pause.
Finishing up the removal of Ocean's makeup, Eve suppressed her thoughts and feelings once more. "Not if you gone regret it tomorr-"
"You kissed me... At that big party last semester...." Frozen in her spot upon those words, Eve felt a sink in her chest. All in contrast to Ocean's eased and calm demeanor. "You don't remember it but I do...Which sucks a lot by the way, it's been eating at me badly these days."
Kindling her brows as her mind spun circles, Eve's response was hardly above a whisper. "I did?..."
"Yeah," Ocean slurred sadly, her eyes glancing to Eve's before she shrugged. "I know you only did it because you were drunk though, kinda like I am now," she then chuckled. "I don't even remember where my shoes went, I think someone might've stolen them." Wide eyed and confused, she kicked her feet up before making a 'whoops' face and dropping them back down.
Laughing almost dryly and in turned over thought, Eve blinked and paused a bit, sitting the pads and makeup remover down on Ocean's desk.
"Shaun, is that what you think?... That I only kissed you because I was drunk??"
"Well duh silly, you definitely wouldn't have done it sober," she booped her best friend's nose with a smile that Eve couldn't even seem to return now. "I know I'm not... I mean- you don't...." Still fuzzed in the head, Ocean let out a long sigh. "Crap, what's the word... What were we talking about again??"
"Nothing," Eve chuckled so softly to herself that she barely heard it.
Looking a bit sleepy now, Ocean peered up at the girl as her sunglasses were removed from the top of her head. "You look sadd pumpkinn, what's wrongg," her head tilted with a drunken pout.
Still stunned from the confession that Ocean was surely forgetting by now, Eve playfully pouted back, though absentmindedly as her thumb did a single swipe along her best friend's jaw.
"Nothing," she answered while taking Ocean's hands to have her stand. "Come on so you can change."
"But I'm not even tireddd-"
