"ok, so how do you like it?" i asked Hassan once we made it back to the kitchen after giving him a tour around the new house. His opinion meant a lot to me so if he didn't like it i wouldn't do it.
"i like it" he shrugged "but why we getting another house? we got one" he looked confused
"because we need us our own little place, not grandpa's, not nana's, not-"
"not david?" he cut me off and i didn't even know how to respond to that really.
"not necessarily, he'll be here just like we'll be there" i confessed "i just like to have my own"
"david's house is our own and our home" he went to the back door "and his pool & backyard bigger" he looked out to the back
"i need more closet space and sometimes yall get on me & capri's last nerve" I didn't feel like being too honest. I mean David's ass was somewhere around here being negative nancy.

"so that's a yes?" i asked and he nodded "and who said you having a party at a damn stadium??"

before i knew it I could hear Capri crying and it was getting closer and closer.
"My daughter not feeling the vibes in here" David announced himself. Capri's back was against his chest and he was holding her up.
"you probably pinched her" i uttered before taking her from him. i consoled her and after a second or two she calmed down.
