Friar Laurence once said to Romeo 'Therefore Love Moderately; Long love doth so; Too swift arrives as Tardy as too slow'.
For the passion contained in Romeo's heart will be his end.
But how can one love moderately, when the burning passion of true love has you in its grasp?
Making you feel alive, while being scorched by the flames, and becoming blind to all reason & logic when the subject of your passion is all you can think about.
You then make choices you otherwise wouldn't have made before because your heart is now running the show instead of your head.
There's a reason people say Shakespeare endures, and that there's a fine line between Love & Madness; because, sometimes, real life can be the mirror image of a greatly influential presence.
Though most of Shakespeare's work ended in tragedy, and that love is a powerful emotion that can become madness from feeling it too much, or too greatly; these concepts also pay testament to the fact that life is short and real love is a precious gift that must be cherished with your very being, it is also only given once & very rarely; so it must also be protected & guarded at all costs.

(Y/n's Pov)

I woke up the same way I always do.
My sense of hearing always comes back first when my consciousness comes to.
Feeling came second, because when I became presently aware, my heart jumped when I heard the sound of clanking dishes and furniture being moved.
Then it began racing in a bad way when I heard two voices coming from my kitchen.
I moved my hand to where Dimitri usually sleeps at my side, then my eyes opened to find him gone when I didn't feel his fur under my fingertips, and that's when my doggy motherly instincts kicked in.
'Dimitri'.
I then grabbed my police issue gun that I kept under my bed, and then gently set my feet on the floor and stalked quietly towards the kitchen and raised my weapon ready to fire with motherly vengeance and promise to shot the intruder dead in the eyes if they so much as hurt my dog.
When I heard Monroe say after a thud against something hard made me suddenly relax, and feel instant relief that it wasn't a random intruder & that my furry baby is okay.
"Ow, gosh dang it!
(I then heard dog tags and Monroe say with mild irritation.)
Why does your mommy like semi-hard couches Dimitri, can you tell me"?
The sound of laughter made my heart swell as I made it to the kitchen and peaked my head to see it Nick, petting Dimitri after he must have set one of my unpacked boxes that held one of my many kitchen appliances on the kitchen counter.
Nick then said as he smiled.
"It's because their the only kind strong enough to support him when he wants to watch movies and cuddle with Y/n".
Dimitri must have heard my heart rate along with smelling the powder in my gun, which was why he looked to the empty door way and barked.
I jumped into their line of sight; my gun rose up because of my jump which was why Monroe said, yelling in shock & Volgaing.
"Wow, Y/n easy it's just us".
I then said lowering my gun while leaning most of my weight on my good leg, instead of my injured/recovering on because, even though the extra reinforced cast Doctor Hannah placed on me last week helped make it easy to walk, she strongly discouraged me putting more weight on it than nessicary.
"Sorry about that guys,
(I put the safety on my gun and placed it on my counter and Dimitri, like a good boy, came to my side.
Helping me follow doctor Hannah's orders to the letter like she told him since he is my companion 24/7, both personally and at work.)
When did you guys get in"?

Nick then said, checking his wrist watch.
"About an hour ago".
Dimitri quickly drew my attention from staring straight into Nick's striking blue gray eyes to the table by guiding me, (well more like dragging me there because I was leaning most of my weight onto him so I didn't use my bum leg)
to a cloth covered piece of furniture.
Nick then said seeing Dimitri take hold of the cloth.
"No, Dimitri-".
But Dimitri was quick, he quickly ripped the cloth off and then backed up with me having to basically hold onto him so I didn't fall on my butt.
Nick must have saw so he wrapped his left arm around my waist and placed his right hand on my right arm.
I could feel his panic through the bond and I sensed his fear for my safety.
He kept me still and then we looked towards the furniture Nick or Monroe hid with the cloth.
My heart began softly humming in my chest as I took note of the deep blue wood, carved legs and my family symbol craced in the middle of the table and back of the matching chair.
I then said softly, moving forward, Dimitri and Nick moving with me as I smiled slightly while rubbing my fingers across the lines.
"How"?
Monroe then said, smiling after Volgaing back to his human face as he looked at Nick.
"Nick thought it would be a great surprise that you woke up and found your dream table in the kitchen".
I looked at Nick and he said while rubbing his neck with his right hand after moving it off my arm and looking down.
"It was supposed to be a surprise,
(Nick then looked at Dimitri, tail wagging like he knew Nick wouldn't be mad at him as Nick smiled, before beginning to lift his head.)
I knew you were getting kind of bored since Captain Sean insisted you recover after your first case back and work from home.
(Nick's eyes could stare straight into my soul when he said and I felt his worry when he thought back to the first case we worked together during my first week back in Portland.)
Which I wish you just rested instead of coming with me to help solve the,
(Nick then smiled and looked at Monroe & he smiled while waving.)
Unique cases, along with Aria.
(Nick then brought a small box out from behind the unpack box he sat down on my counter and said, looking up at me.)
But I asked Monroe if could help me assemble the pieces he asked his ice beaver friend to make for your table and then I leave this
(He set the puzzle down and I could almost cry, because the puzzle was customized and it was a picture of me, holding tiny Dimitri and Nick was holding us both because I strained my ankle muzzle from being so excited about having my new puppy.)
Puzzle for you to assemble,
(Nick then smiled as I looked at him and he whispered.)
I know how much you love to build them so I pulled in a favor with a friend.
(He then rubbed his neck again and lightly blushed while he spoke at normal volume.)
The next part to my plan was that we leave before you woke.
(Nick then looked at Dimitri and said.)
But someone heard us come in thanks to your spare key,
(Dimitri hummed as Nick scratched his head and Nick added.)
And got curious".
I then said looking at Dimitri and the scratched his chin.
"So that's why you left, you just wanted to say Hi to Nick and Monroe hu"?
I was scratching up Dimitris head when my hand and Nicks grazed each other.
And the shock was electrifying, the kind that gets your heart pumping when you're holding the hand of someone you love.
The words Friar Laurence said to Romeo echoed in my mind when I looked into Nick's eyes and I felt my heart guide my next actions.
I wrapped my arms around Nick's next and hugged him and said softly.
"Thank you Nick, I love it".
He was shocked at me suddenly lunging at him, but he wrapped both his arms around me and I felt his smile when he layed his head against my shoulder.
Monroe then said, sounding like he was rushing his tease, making us both realize we aren't alone, after the sound of my front door opening.
"Oh look what the cat dragged in herself".
We quickly pulled away from one another and I sat down in my new chair after Nick made sure I didn't fall in my haste.
Dimitri sat right next to me as Aria said while walking in, smiling and waving her hand around.
"Say what you want Monroe,
You're not going to put a damper on my happy morning Monroe.
(Aria then saw me and said after gasping as I petted Dimitri sit beside me.)
Y/n, your moving a about!?
(I lightly laughed as the hysterics ran through Aria's system.)
Why didn't you call me?!
You know what Doctor Hannah-.
(She then saw the chair I was sitting in and then her eyes went to the matching table and said softly, walking closer.)
Said".
I then said smiling as I watched her eyes trace my family symbol the closer she moved towards my blue wooden table.
"I know Aria, and I was going to call you after my nap.
(I then teasingly look at Nick and Monroe.)
But Dimitri heard them come in and he went to investigate".
Aria then said, looking at me with a 'I should have know' kind of smile friends give to others they know inside out.
"And let me guess,
(Aria then looked at my protective, &, at times mischievous, pup.
Then her eyes moved to Nick.)
You woke up hearing commotion and then saw Dimitri was gone, so like any doggy cop mom, you came running towards danger,
(Aria then pointed to my healing leg and said.)
Despite the possibility you'll further injury your leg,
(Aria then squared down to Dimitri's size and did the bay talk.)
So you can make sure your baby is ay okay"?
Monroe snickered as Nick blushed, Dimitri hummed as Aria petted his head and gave him all of her attention.
Monroe then said, smiling as he looked at me.
"I'm guessing this isn't the first time she pulled her gun on someone in her own house".
Aria then said as she stood up as she smirked at Monroe.
"Only to someone she knows and they come into her house while she's resting & she didn't know they were here".
Monroe gulped and Nick said, seeing me move to stand.
"Wow Y/n,
(He wrapped an arm around my waist and then moved my right to be across his shoulders before we stood up.)
I know you say you feel fine, but your not out of the woods yet injury wise remember".
I sighed, sounding exasperated as I teased as he took me to the livingroom, knowing me like the back of my hand.
"I knew I forgot one of the downsides to you being my roommate".
Nick laughed with me and Monroe ask Aria as they followed us to my living room/movie entertainment parlor.
"What does she mean by that"?
Nick then said as he helped ease my decent to sitting on my couch after quickly putting a cushion where I was going to sit.
"You know how some people, college students, dorm mates and Siblings warn others not to share an apartment with someone"?
Monroe looked confused as he said.
"I never had dorm mates at college, the only time I shared a living space with others were my parents".
Nick snapped his fingers as he smiled and said.
"Right, Blutbaden are territorial with any others that aren't family by nature".
I nodded and I said.
"Like their Wolfie animal contour parts.
In packs, Blutbaden are lead by the Alpha male and female, providing security and safety to the omegas, (I then simplified as Nick looked confused.)
Those in the pack that gather food, clean and help others complete their pack tasks and watch over children when their parents are busy.
(I then smiled remembering when I met a Blutbaden family that I protected from Coyotoles, I then quickly diverted from my original topic.)
As long as you don't pose a threat to the pack & show them you are not a foe but a friend, they welcome you.
(I then looked to a drawling the Blutbaden children made for me, a image of me, Aria and Dimitri attacking a coyoltole, painting us on the image of savoirs.)
It's a breathtaking sight to watch them nurture and share in raising their children.
(I noticed Nick was smiling softly at the same time as feeling pure love spread across my chest.
I then looked at Monroe and said quickly before returning to the topic of my conversation.)
