Chapter 14

"Ivy!" Pandoria called as soon as Ivy stepped through the doors to the staffroom.

"I heard what happened to your brother, are you alright?" she asked worriedly.

Ivy sighed and gave a small nod, then headed towards the bathroom to change. Pandoria stood still at the spot Ivy had stood for just a few seconds ago and she couldn't help but think about how red and swollen Ivys eyes had been. Clearly, she had been crying.

Ivy walked out of the bathroom and back to the staffroom. It felt like her world had fallen apart the second Theseus had said those words.

"Newt's gone missing."

It kept replaying in her head, she couldn't get that sentence out of her mind and she was going crazy from it.

Work distracted her, so she worked harder than ever, even offering to take someone else's shift. But they wouldn't let her, saying she couldn't tire out herself. They didn't understand. Every time Ivy went home, the silence was more overwhelming than the loudest places she knew. She wanted to go to Newts appartement, feed the creatures. There was always some noise there. Always a creature to feed. Ivy often caught herself making a wrong turn after work, going to Newt's instead of her appartement. It was tiring.

Theseus and Ivy had started meeting up more often, and Ivy was in the investigating team trying to locate Newt even though she wasn't an auror. It felt good to help, not just sit around.

Somehow, they would find Newt. They had to. Because, what would Ivy do without him? She didn't even know herself.

---------------------------------------------

Theseus once again sat pouring over files in an attempt to locate his brother. He was glad Ivy had joined the team, although she couldn't be there on the days, she was still a comfort.

Nothing made sence in the files, Grindelwald wasn't moving in a pattern. The last sighting was still that night in St.Mungos.

There has to be a pattern. Theseus thought.

But what was the pattern? It wasn't easy to find, whatever it was. Cause there had to be a pattern right? How else would Grindelwald know how to move? It just didn't make any sence.

Theseus sat back in his chair, rubbing his temples. He had a headache from all the work but he wouldn't stop until they found Newt. He was the older one, Newt was his responsibility.

Another question started forming in Theseus's mind. When did Newt get kidnapped? From what he remembered, Newt wasn't going anywhere that day. So had an attack occurred in his appartement? They had to search it. Maybe there were some clues.

Theseus got up from his chair and opened the door. He walked down the hall and to a office with the name "Shacklebolt" on the door. Theseus knocked 3 times, then waited for an answer.

Once he heard the muffled come in from inside the office, Theseus opened the door and walked in.

"We need to search Newt and Tinas appartement." he said.

Shacklebolt just nodded before making his way out of his office to get the other aurors. Theseus apparated to St.Mungos to get Ivy and they all met up at Newts appartement.

Theseus couldn't help but feel a bit hopeful, he also couldn't believe he hadn't thought of this sooner. What if Newt was simply tied to a chair or something in his home? Plus, Tina was somewher else, also looking for Grindelwald. So she wouldn't know if Newt was there. They had all just assumed he wasn't there and hadn't bothered checking.

But what if Newt was there? Just what if, Theseus couldn't get to hopeful. The most he could hope for was a clue. He just hoped the clue, if there was one, would be easy to follow and they would find Newt soon.

There was no way Grindelwald wasn't hurting him.

A/N Thanks for reading this chapter!

I really liked how this one and the last one turned out and I hope you enjoyed them too! Next chapter I will continue writing about them trying to find Newt and I hope that's okay and won't be to boring to read.

Anyway, have a great day and bye!
