In the shadows

Chapter 25

"Have a seat Scamander." the auror said.

"My name is Leah Lupin and I am going to interrogate you, do you understand?"

Ivy nodded, still confused as to why she was here.

"Yesterday, you were seen killing a muggle, is that correct?" Leah asked.

"I-I would never kill a muggle!" Ivy exclaimed, surprised.

"There are 11 witnesses." Leah continued, ignoring Ivy.

"They all claim to have seen you walk into an apartment before that apartment lit up in a green light and you walking out. Later, after muggle police searched the apartment they found the dead body of Hazel Johnsson." 

Ivy was stunned.

"You've got something wrong, none of this is true! I've never even heard of anybody named Hazel Johnsson!" she exclaimed.

Leah nodded and wrote something down in her papers.

"Okay, your brother is Theseus Scamander, head of the auror department am I right?" she asked.

Ivy nodded.

"I'll let him see you."

With that Leah exited the room and left a very confused Ivy.

A few minutes later, the door opens again and Theseus walks in.

"Hello." he says.

"Please, tell me what's going on." Ivy pleaded.

Theseus sighed.

"I don't know what happened, I assumed you were home yesterday, although I can't really see you murdering anybody." Theseus mused.

"I didn't!" Ivy says again.

"It has to be one of Grindelwald's followers, it has to!"

"If it was polyjuice potion, how did they get a part of you?" Theseus asked.

 Ivy thinks for a bit.

 Then her face goes pale.

"When I was kidnapped." she wispers to herself.

"What?"

"When I was kidnapped, Gridelwald took a small vial of my blood." Ivy said, louder this time.

"That's going to be hard to prove-"

"He did!" Ivy shouts, interrupting Theseus.

"I believe you!" Theseus shouts back.

"But I'm just saying, everyone won't. It's going to be hard to prove since no one was there except for you."

Ivy sighs.

"You're right."

"I'll see what I can do."

Theseus walks out the door, leaving Ivy with nobody but her thoughts.

The doors open again, interrupting Ivy from her train of thoughts.

Leah Lupin walks in.

"We're sorry for the misunderstanding Scamander, you may now leave." she says.

Ivy let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding until now and stands up.

Leah Luping lifts the locking spell from the door so that Ivy can walk out.

"Have a good day." 

"You too."

Then Leah leaves, leaving Ivy alone in the ministry. 

She's never been here before, not the interrogation cells.

Ivy sighs and starts walking. 

Maybe she'll bump into Daisy or Theseus.

A/N Thanks for reading the last chapter!

I know this ending was a bit rushed, but I didn't really like the general idea for this book, so I'm ending it here.

I'll be starting a new story tho.

This was my first fanfiction ever, I have never written outside of school before.
