Chapter 22

Ivy was walking towards Jacob's bakery.

The entire family (Ivy, Newt, Tina, Queenie, Theseus) were going to have dinner there. Queenie had told them they had something to announce. Ivy wondered what it was and she bet everybody else did the same.

Ivy was wearing a white dress with small purple flowers on that she had dug out from her closet yesterday. Since it was getting kind of cold, she wore a jean-jacket over it. Of course the jean-jacket had a couple of pins, like most of her clothes had. She was wearing black sandals that also were sligtly high-heeled and she had her hair in two braids down her back. She was wearing the same necklace as she had worn when she was kidnapped and on her date with Pandoria. She liked it but it seemed as if the necklace brought bad luck. A pair of golden hoop-earrings completed the look.

Once the bakery came into view, Ivy grew increasingly nervous. She had never liked big dinners such as these, even if it was only her family.

She knocked politely on the door three times and stepped back to wait for someone to open it. Not long after she knocked, Queenie opened it with a smile.

"Ivy! Come in, come in!" she said cheerfully. 

Ivy smiled and walked in.

"You're the first one here! Anything interesting at work?" Queenie asked although she undoubtfully already knew the answer.

"Nothing really." Ivy answered.

Queenie nodded.

Later on, Newt and Tina arrived as well. Theseus had been a bit late but nobody seemed to mind. 

Once everyone was here they all settled down around the table and they all ate a delicious dinner Jacob had cooked.

After dessert Queenie told them it was time for the announcement.

"I'm pregnant!" she said excitedly.

There was stunned silence.

Queenie was still smiling though, reading everyone's thoughts.

Tina was the first to break the silence.

"Congratulations!" she said with a smile. 

Queenie smiled back and soon, everyone was congratulating her and Jacob.

The family sat around talking a bit more, before it was eventually time for everyone to head home.

Ivy walked home along with Newt and Tina, seeing as their apartments were realy close.

"I can't believe Queenie's pregnant!" Tina said excitedly.

She was both happy and worried for her sister, but she also knew Jacob would take great care of her.

Newt and Ivy agreed.

Ivy saw her apartment building and waved goodbye to Tina and Newt.

She unlocked the door to her apartment and walked in, heading straight to the bathroom to brush her teeth and get ready for bed. 

Laying down, Ivy drifted off into sleep, a smile still playing on her lips.

I know this one's short but I promise the next one will be longer.

Also, I know this story is not matching up with the actual timeline but who said it had to?

The start of the story is after New York when Newt returns to London. The end will be after Crimes of Grindelwald.

So right now it's kind of in between Fantastic beasts and where to find them(FBWTFT) and Crimes of Grindelwald(COG).

And I know Tina and Newt don't get married til after Secrets of Dumbledore(SOD) and Queenie and Jacob get married in the end of it but I don't care.
