Chapter 18

Ivy walked towards room 233 to check on Newt, which she had done almost every break she had now. But he was always unconscious. Her coworkers had assured her that Newt was going to be fine, but she couldn't help but worry. What if he never woke up again?

Ivy reached the room and slowly opened the door. She found Newt laying in his bed and walked over. He was awake.

"Hello." she said.

Newt mumbled something, to quiet for Ivy to hear.

"I have good news." she said, a smile forming on her lips.

"What?" Newt asked, now curious.

"They got Grindelwald. He's captured once and for all." Ivy continued.

Newt looked up, a grin forming on his face as well.

"Really?" he asked.

"Uh-huh." Ivy responded.

The two fell into a comfortable silence, both smiling. He was caught. Grindelwald was caught. Everything was going to be alright.

Theseus was sitting at his desk, doing some paperwork, when he heard the light tapping on the window. He quickly walked over and opened it, letting Ivys snowy white owl into his office. The owl extended its leg, then flew down to his desk, sipping some water from a glass.

Theseus looked down at the letter in his hands, wondering why Ivy had wrote to him. Surely nothing bad had happened? Right?

He quickly opened the letter, reading it.

Dear Theseus,

Nothing bad has happened.

Theseus sighed a sigh of relief.

In fact, something quite good has happened.

Newt's awake! If you want to see him, you can come now, before the visiting ends.

Yours,

Ivy

Newt was awake! That really was good news.

Theseus quickly got out of his office, preparing to go see Newt.

Newt was laying in his bed when suddenly the door opened to reveal his older brother Theseus.

"Newt! You're awake!" Theseus exclaimed.

Newt laughed and nodded, so did Ivy.

"You've been out for 2 days! 2 whole days!" Theseus continues, causing both Newt and Ivy to laugh even harder.

Theseus looks at them with a grin.

"What's so funny?" he asks.

Newt and Ivy exchanged glances, then started laughing even harder than before.

"Seriously, what's funny?!" Theseus said, now irritated.

"I-I don't k-know!" Ivy managed to say through her laughing.

Newt nodded in agreement.

Theseus sighed.

"Sometimes I just can't with you two." he said, a smile forming on his face.

Then he joins in the laughter, and they just sit there laughing.

Laughing like they were children again.

Like they did before their father died.

Before they had to face the real world, and their biggest problems were still homework.

They just kept on laughing, til they couldn't laugh anymore.

Til Ivy and Theseus had to leave for work, and Newt was once again stuck alone in his room.

Ivys POV:

I walk towards the staffroom.

It felt so good to just laugh like that, laugh at nothing. I haven't laghed like that in years.

By the time I reach the staffroom, I'm still smiling. Pandoria walkes up to me.

"Hey, is your brother awake?" she asks.

I nod.

"I-I wanted t-to ask you s-something." Pandoria says, suddenly looking extremely nervous.

"I-I think t-that you're v-very b-beautiful, a-and I w-was wondering if y-you w-would like to b-be my g-girlfriend?" she asks.

I just stare. I know she's going to think I'm going to say no, but my brain is still prossecing the information. Pandoria likes me. She wants me to be her girlfriend.

She's looking down at her feet, blushing. Then she looks up, at me, straight in the eye.

"Would you want to be my girlfriend?" she asks again, steadier this time.

"Yes." I say, although it's barely a whisper.

"Yes." I say louder this time.

Pandoria smiles, and she pulls me closer, pressing her lips against mine. They're so soft. The kiss isn't long but I'm still full of butterflies when we pull apart.

We're both smiling now.

I have a girlfriend. I have a girlfriend.

I repeat the sentence in my head. I have a girlfriend.

Maybe, now that Grindelwald is captured, life can go back to normal. But better. 'Cause I have a girlfriend.

Also I put in the fact that Theseus, Newt and Ivys father is dead, hope that's okay with you guys.

This chapter is also pretty long, told you they were going to get longer now, it's a little more than 700 words.
