Hannie walked briskly to the parking lot, his mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. He started his car, the hum of the engine doing little to drown out his thoughts. Despite his attempts to focus on leaving, he couldn't shake the image of Geum Hi looking at him with pleading eyes. Unknowingly, a part of him was concerned about how she would manage alone.

He took a deep breath, trying to push the thoughts away. He started to drive but found himself hesitating at the exit of the parking lot. Sighing, he pulled over to the side and reached for his phone. His fingers hovered over the screen for a moment before he dialed Y/N's number.

Y/N: (picking up in just one ring) Hey, Heartbeat. Are you on your way? [excited]

Hannie: Hey, Heartpiece, were you waiting for my call ?? [Her voice always calmed him; there was something magical about it.]

Y/N: Yes, absolutely. There's a surprise for you at home. [happily thinking about how Hannie would be the happiest to see his favorite dish made by her]

Hannie: Really? What surprise? Tell me! [more excited]

Y/N: I said it's a surprise. Come home and I'll tell you.

Hannie: Okayyyyyyyyyyy. [As soon as Hannie heard this, he sped up the car.]

Y/N: Heyyy, Hannieee. Be careful not to speed up. The surprise will be canceled immediately if you do. It takes 25 minutes to get here from HYBE at normal speed. If you arrive before that, you'll see what happens.

Hannie: This is not fair! You got me excited and now you're saying this. [whining]

Y/N: Isn't talking to you while you drive enough? Should I hang up? [laughing]

Hannie: Aaaniiiiii. I'm driving slowly and will come carefully. [ immediately slow down the speed]

The traffic light turned red. Hannie was talking to Y/N when suddenly he noticed Geum Hi at the side bus stop, in tears. He felt something weird seeing her like that. Why is she crying? How can she expect me to behave normally? But I wasn't that rude, was I? Wait, why am I even thinking about her? It's none of my business.

He was lost in his thoughts while looking at Geum Hi and suddenly heard the sound of car horns loudly. He saw the green light and moved ahead.

Y/N: Did I do the right thing?

Hannie: What? [Shit, I didn't hear what Y/N was saying.]

Y/N: Are you there? Where is your attention?

Hannie: Actually... [Should I tell her about Geum Hi? that she is back ?? But she thinks there's something between me and Geum Hi. If she finds out Geum Hi is our choreographer, I might lose my chance with Y/N, which I don't want. i will tell her some other day]

Y/N: What happened? Is something bothering you? Is it about the tour and practice? If so, I know you're going to nail it. If it's about me, I'm pretty fine now. And if you're trying to get me to reveal the surprise, you have to wait. I'm not telling anything. [laughing]

Hannie: This is not fair. [He said this to prevent Y/N from questioning further. He stopped at the next red light, but his mind kept picturing Geum Hi's tearful face, remembering every time she had answered while eating.]

Y/N: Something else is bothering you, right? [She asked, and he knew Y/N would find out. There's nothing she can't detect from his voice.]
