Y/N: "Heyy!" (she said excitedly)
Joon: "Are you ready to go?"
Y/N: "Yes, very much ready! I'm just excited to see Hannie's face!" (she replied while grabbing her keys and stepping out of the flat)
They both stepped out of their flats at almost the same time, locking their doors in sync.
Namjoon gave Y/N a soft smile, but she could tell something was off. His eyes were slightly red, as if he had been holding back emotions, but Y/N chose not to comment on it. She returned his smile, not wanting to ruin the moment.
As they walked towards the elevator, Y/N kept glancing at him from the corner of her eye, wondering what had him feeling so down, but deciding it was better to wait until he was ready to share. The soft click of their footsteps echoed in the hallway, the silence between them only interrupted by the ding of the elevator.
Namjoon didn't want to show his emotions, even though he knew that Y/N had probably noticed. Instead, he tried to lighten the mood.
joon - I'm not sure about Hannie, but you seem more excited than him to watch the practice.
Y/N: (smiling) "Well, it's been a while since I went to HYBE. Dancing and my job... I really love it, but now that I'm on a break, I miss it. I'm excited to go back there." She paused for a moment, reflecting. "Sometimes I think about how blessed I am to be doing something I truly love. There are so many people who spend their whole lives doing things they don't even enjoy."
Namjoon nodded thoughtfully, appreciating her words.
Joon: "You're right. Not everyone gets that chance. It's easy to take it for granted sometimes, but we're lucky. Finding what we love, and actually being able to pursue it... that's rare. But with that comes responsibility too—making sure we don't lose ourselves in the process. You've always balanced it well."
Y/N looked at him, appreciating his perspective as always. Namjoon had a way of grounding conversations, bringing a sense of wisdom and calm, even when he was going through something himself.
As they stepped out of the elevator and walked towards the parking lot, the cool breeze brushed past them. Y/N led the way towards her car, her keys jingling softly in her hand. Reaching the car, she unlocked it and slid into the driver's seat while Namjoon settled into the passenger seat beside her. She started the engine, and the soft hum filled the silence between them.
As they drove out of the parking lot, Namjoon broke the quiet.
