Part 13 -Finding Light

Hannie: Before you decide to move, there's something I need to tell you about Riyo. [my heart started thumbing as i don't know how to start this conversation, how will she handle this that all of her past was a lie]

y/n - what about him? [Y/N's heart sank, sensing the seriousness in Hannie's tone.]

hannie - I went to meet Riyo with Mingyu and Scoups at the club he owns [looking at her face, holding her hand].

y/n - Riyo owns a club? i guess you misunderstood something? [confused]

hannie - Scoups did a background check; Riyo owns the club [again, I can see pain in her eyes. I promise this is the last time; after today, I won't bring it up again.]

y/n - And? Did you get hurt there? Did you and him have a fight? [Hannie is hurt because of Riyo? Did he lay a hand on Hannie? If that's the case, I won't let him off.]

Hannie - Come here [opens his arms]. Come here; I'll tell you everything. I overheard Riyo's conversation at the club [I want to make her feel safe when she hears all this].

y/n - Just tell me what happened? [Why does he want me to hide in his arms? What happened?] I'll hide there, but not now. Tell me what happened.

Hannie: (sighs) Riyo... he wasn't honest with you about the breakup. He manipulated the situation. [looking into her eyes]

Y/N's eyes widened, a mixture of shock and disbelief.

Y/N: (whispering) What do you mean?

Hannie recounted the details, revealing Riyo's deceitful strategy, the blame on Hannie himself, and the cruel manipulation regarding the pregnancy.

Y/N's hands trembled as she processed the truth. Her eyes welled up with tears, and she struggled to find words.

Y/N: (voice breaking) No, Hannie, this can't be true. He wouldn't... he couldn't do that. [tears started rolling from her eyes]

Hannie: I wish it weren't true, heartpiece, but I heard it myself. He took advantage of your trust, blamed everything on me, and painted himself as the victim. It was calculated [i sighed , she is crying, she is in pain. I can't see her like this. God, why? Why? Why are you giving my heartpiece so much pain? Give me all her pain and my share of happiness too.]

Y/N's breaths became shallow as the weight of Hannie's words pressed down on her.

Y/N: (whispering) I loved him, Hannie. How could he do this to me? [still in disbelief, not able to process anything, remembering all the years she spent with Riyo. How is it possible that it was all a lie, the efforts he made to make me happy? How can everything be a lie? But I trust Hannie more than anyone in this world.]

Hannie: (gentle) I'm so sorry, Heartpiece. I thought you deserved to know the truth. [tears started filling my eyes. I couldn't stop seeing her in this state. I know she must be recalling all the time she spent with Riyo, questioning if it was true or a lie. I can sense that.]

Y/N's tears flowed like an unending stream, carrying the heavy burden of shattered trust and broken love. Hannie could see her world crumbling, and he felt a deep ache for his friend.

Hannie: Heartpiece, I'm so sorry. I never wanted you to go through this pain.I am sorry i failed to protect you. [He took her in his arms, hugging her.]

Y/N: (choked sobs) How could he... How could he do this to me? [Each word seemed to carry the weight of betrayal.]

Hannie: You deserve so much better. You're strong, and you'll get through this. I am here with you. [Trying to offer some comfort.]
