Part 12 -Heartpiece's Safe Place

Joon's POV:V dropped me off at the building, and I had no intention of going up to my flat. I genuinely didn't know what to think or feel; I was blank. There was undoubtedly pain, but simultaneously, I felt numb. I went to the park in front of the building and sat down. Suddenly, I heard a voice...

Y/N: Hey, night owl, what are you doing here this late? [with a smile but he is looking sad]

Joon: Well, here you are again night owl... [I said while standing, she is still smiling ? how ??]

Y/N: Just couldn't sleep. [They both started walking in garden]

Joon: Well, same here. [we stopped by swing and We both sat on a swing]

Both of them were lost in their thoughts. Joon was contemplating Y/N, observing how she held herself together, be it in the practice room or at HYBE. She seemed to move through everything as if nothing had happened, but he could somehow sense her feelings. She lost her baby, and I also lost a child who was never mine. She lost her lover, and so did I. I know how painful these feelings are.
On the other side, Y/N thought Joon must be going through something. He only came to this garden for specific reasons, either he was very happy or sad.

Flash Back

Joon and Y/N coincidentally found themselves in the garden late at night. Both had a glow on their faces, the remnants of joy from spending quality time with their respective partners. The night was silent, with only the soft rustling of leaves accompanying their thoughts.

Joon: Well, night owl, you're here too. Couldn't sleep? [smiling]

Y/N: Nah, just felt like taking a stroll. Had a great time with Riyo tonight. [thinking about her date]

Joon: Same here. Had a wonderful evening with Ha eun. This garden seems to have a magnetic pull, doesn't it? [thinking about ha eun]

Y/N: Totally! It's like our secret spot. I come here when I'm happy or sad. [started walking together side by side]

Joon: Me too. It's strange how we both ended up here tonight. Just shows how much this place means to us. [walking]

Y/N: True that. It's like our silent refuge. So, how was your evening? [walk toward swing]
