Isaac
"Okay it's not that bad but it's still there" she said holding up the thermometer and looking at it intently.
"You need to rest, stay in bed and watch a good movie, I'll make my special chicken soup for you" she said already reaching for the door and I laughed, I genuinely laughed.
"What is so funny?" she asked turning around to look at me.
"You being bossy" I confessed and a blush crept up her cheeks. "I mean I have never seen you act like this, also I don't like the idea of staying in bed all day and I don't watch movies" I admitted and her mouth hung open.
"What are you saying? Are you even human? Who doesn't watch movies?!" she was exaggerating now and I felt oddly defensive.
"Well, I haven't watched one since high school... was too busy preparing myself to take over our family business" I said and her mouth formed an 'o', she didn't say anything though.
"Well, Mr. Reid, today we're going to change things a bit, since it's sunday I'm sure you don't have shitty office work to do, we'll watch my favourite movie together and I'll make you fall in love with Harry Potter" she stated and my eyes went wide.
"I'm not going to watch a childish movie, in fact I won't be watching anything, I'll just get dressed and go to my study, I need to deal with some paperwork" I said, there's no way I'm watching the kid in glasses swish his wand to kill a noseless monster!
"Okay we'll just watch Titanic then" she said, at this point I'm sure she was teasing me. "Also you're going nowhere, you better be in this room when I come back with your soup" she ordered and I let out a sigh in frustration. I remember agreeing to being friends, not her bossing me around.

We ended up choosing an old Batman movie and so far it isn't as bad as I thought it would be, I remember watching movies with my friends back in high school, I remember going to the cinemas but with adulthood, came responsibilities and dad made sure that I got an idea of how to run the family business from an early age, he never put restrictions on me though, I simply stopped hanging out with my friends when I understood the weight I'd have to carry for being born in the Reid family. Ethan of course, got the better end of it and didn't have to sacrifice anything, he was carefree back then and he's carefree now as well.
Her eyes were glued to the TV screen but mine were fixed on her, the way she so casually plopped down next to me on the bed, barely keeping her distance from me was distracting me and making my mind go places it shouldn't go. I've never seen her be so bossy and so at ease around me, and somehow it makes me glad to think that she's slowly starting to feel comfortable around me.
"It's not proper to stare" she said with her eyes still glued to the screen in front of her, I cleared my throat "I wasn't staring at you, I was staring at the wallclock" I tried to come up with an excuse... I'm acting like a teenager.
"Whatever you say Mr. Reid" she stated rolling her eyes.
"Back with the attitude I see" I said and this time her attention shifted from the screen and she looked at me.
"That's the thing with me, doesn't matter if we're friends or enemies, you'll always have to deal with this attitude of mine. Also, stop getting distracted and watch the movie please" her tone was playful and I found myself fighting the urge to grab her face and kiss her. She must've sensed something because she was all serious now, her gaze matching the intensity of my own.
Our faces were merely inches apart and as much as I wanted to kiss her, I didn't want to ruin things for us in the long run, I don't want her to think poorly of me. She was still staring at me, assessing my features, running her eyes over my face as if she's looking for a flaw there.
"Your eyes are beautiful" she finally said. "Well thank you, but they're no match to yours" I admitted, I've loved her eyes ever since I saw her, even when I hated her, I loved her eyes... her doe eyes exude innocence. She gave me a smile that showed she was embarrassed and did something I wasn't expecting.
She ran her hand through my hair "So soft, I bet my hair is no match to yours" she said with a giggle and in that moment something clicked between us, she was about to remove her hand from my hair but I stopped her from doing so.
"Feels nice" I told her with a lazy smile and that seemed to have made some sort of effect on her.
Her lips came crashing down on mine as she snaked her arms around my neck, and as much as I wanted to stop this, I couldn't because I was just as desperate as her if not more. Placing my hands on her waist, I pulled her body closer to mine and deepened the kiss.
My hands roamed her body, she felt so soft and warm, and tasted sweeter than I had imagined. The taste of her lips is something I'll never forget, that's for sure. Her plump and soft lips felt so good against my own, she parted her lips slightly and I slipped in my tongue to devour more of her sweetness. Funny how I've never felt like this before ; so vulnerable, excited and content. I don't ever want this kiss to end.
A sharp noise snapped us out of reality and she untangled herself from me in an instance. My phone was ringing, I looked at the caller ID : it was Ethan. We both were breathing heavily and I chose to simply ignore my brother's call.
"You should take it" she eyed the phone, her voice still shaky and breathy because of the kiss we'd just shared, and without giving me a chance to say anything she got off the bed and went straight out the door, I didn't stop her because I didn't know what I'd say to her if I did.
