The next morning Croc wakes everyone else up sometime between 7 and 8.
Marigold yawns.
"What time is it?" She asks drowsily.
"7:27," Croc responds briskly.
"That's... oddly specific," Marigold says skeptically.
Wild, who had been outside, walks in looking visibly tired.
"Morning everyone," she says. "Hope you guys got some sleep."
"Yeah," Croc says. "And clearly you got a ton."
"Yeah..." Wild says sheepishly.
"Or not at all, depending on how you look at it," Croc says thoughtfully.
"That's probably more likely," Wild admits.
"I saw you go to sleep though," Croc says. "Not that I was watching," he quickly amends.
"Well that's not creepy at all," Stella says sarcastically.
"You are creepy Croc," Reef says.
"I'm not," Croc says. "But you know who is? Wild."
"Geez, we're joking," Wild grumbles.
"This is the only time I've watched her stay up for more than 16 hours!" Croc persists.
"Enough about watching people!" Marigold says. "You both are creepy, and that settles it. Now, I need to practice if we ever wanna get off this island!"
Marigold then opens her wings, knocking Wild over for yet another time.
"For Pete's sake," Wild grumbles as she gets up. She flashes a small smile at Marigold though.
The group treks down to the beach.
Marigold flaps her wings and kicks her legs and pushes off into the air, staying up.
"I'm doing it!" She says triumphantly, though she falls about five seconds after saying that.
"Whoaaaaa!" She yelps as she plummets. "Oof."
Croc rolls his eyes.
Marigold tries again, and this time stays up, flapping steadily.
"She keeps falling," he complains.
"I do not!" Marigold says between flaps.
Croc rolls his eyes again.
Marigold falls again, but this time she's in boisterous spirits.
"I stayed up so long that time!" She says excitedly.
"Good job Goldie!" Wild says.
"Yeah, that was great!" Honey adds.
"I'm gonna go practice over by those pointy rocks!" Marigold says cheerfully, pointing to some incredibly pointy and dangerous looking rocks a little ways away.
"HOW ABOUT WE NOT DO THAT!" Wild shouts, lunging towards Marigold bit missing.
Marigold ignores this and casually walks towards the rocks.
"Come BACK!" Wild shouts, taking off after her.
