"Could you please stop! I know what I'm doing!" I exclaim, trying to wrestle my keyboard and mouse back from Dax.

"Noa, please," Dax pleads.

"Get your hand away from my keyboard, thank you!" I assert, reclaiming control.

"Just turn me up a little bit!" he nudges me aside and cranks up the volume on his guitar.

"Dax, no," I push back, maintaining my ground. "The balance will be completely off."

"Oh, come on, that's not true! You know you love it when the guitar is loud," he argues with a flirtatious tone.

"Not so loud that it drowns out everyone else," I insist firmly, still in a tug-of-war over the keyboard.

He starts tickling my sides, distracting me enough to take control once again.

"You're such an asshole! We are not doing that!" I exclaim, now laughing as I push him away.

"Don't you love me?" he asks, giving me puppy eyes.

"Of course I love you," I sigh, rolling my eyes.

"Then just turn me up!" he tries to snatch the keyboard back.

"Dax, I love all of you. That's why I won't be turning you up," I explain, trying to maintain my composure amidst the playful struggle.

"You're so stubborn," Dax mutters under his breath.

"What did you just say?!" I snap, turning my full attention to him. He wears a mischievous smirk.

"Nothing," he replies innocently, shaking his head. I turn back to the computer.

"Stubborn motherfucker," he whispers.

I shoot up from my seat, and he takes off running. "I will kill you!" I yell after him as we run down the stairs, out the front door and down the road.

Suddenly, he stops and swiftly scoops me up, swinging me over his shoulder. "Girl, you really think you can kill me?! I applaud your bravery and confidence in yourself," he chuckles as I scream and pound on his back.

"Um, what's going on here?" a voice interrupts.

"Oh, just Noa attempting murder. As you can see, it's not going so well," Dax laughs, explaining to the newcomer.

"Harry?" I ask, reconizing his familiar voice.

Dax turns us around so I'm face-to-face with Harry. "Oh, hello! The others are already here, so you can just join them. We'll be up in just a minute. I just need to have a chat with Dax."

Harry's smile falters slightly, a flicker of unease crossing his face as he glances between us. "Okay," he replies, his tone polite but his eyes are dark. He nods at Dax before walking off to join the rest of our friends.

As Dax and I walk back inside, still chuckling softly, I notice Harry and the others gathered in the tracking room. We enter, and I catch Harry's eye, but he quickly looks away, focusing on the ground.

"So today, we're going to work on 'Sweet Creature'," I announce to everyone, breaking the quiet atmosphere.

"Actually, I thought we could check out 'Ever Since New York' instead?" Harry asks nervously, his voice slightly hesitant.

Is he okay? Why is he acting weird? "Um, sure," I reply, trying to figure out his new demeanor.

Dax shoots me a curious glance, clearly picking up on the shift in atmosphere. "Yeah, 'Ever Since New York' sounds good," he chimes in, attempting to lighten the mood with his usual easygoing manner.
