"He started it!"
"You took the fucking contact and has the audacity to say I started it?!" James said
"That doesn't mean you can kill me. Like you're too weak to even touch me" Net said
"You Net fucking Siraphop!" James said in anger
"James Stupid Supamongkon". Net mocked causing James to almost raise his fist.
"Enough! Why both of you are so annoying? It would've been better if I never knew you both!" the girl sniffled.
Both James and Net stopped bickering and looked at the girl concerned. They went too far. But they surely couldn't stop themselves from fighting with each other. But the girl in front of them meant the world to them. After all, they raised her up.
"I'm sorry Nia... We are sorry" both said together feeling guilty to make the girl cry.
"But you guys will fight again... Even after you both promised me... Only bad people breaks promises..." Nia sobbed further.
"No we didn't break the promise Nia... We were just playing... Right?" James asserted the last word while glaring at Net and Net rolled his eyes at him before saying a yes to make the most precious girl for him to stop crying.
"Re-really?"
"Yes!" Both said together as they smiled brightly making the girl smile as well.
"Now come to big brother!" Net smiled as he spread his big arms for a hug.
"No! Come to me my little honeycomb!" James insisted Nia with his famous plump smile.
"Move away! She will come to me!" Net said
"Hell nah! She loves me the most so she will come to me!" James said
"You imagine too much you know that? She always loved me and will come to me!" Net said
"That's why when we were on summer vacation she came to me when she injured her leg!" James said
"It was because I was the one who was handling the person who hurt my baby!" Net said
"Oh just shut up! You were probably busy making out with some random girls over there!" James said
"Excuse me? I'm not like you!" Net mockingly said
"You can never be anyway!" James said
"Who wants to be like you! A useless shit!" Net said
"The fuck you said huh?! I'll just smack your coconut head here-" James said
"UGH! STOP YOU GUYS!" They went silent as the girl before them stood up clearly not happy with their behavior.
she walked to them and glared at boy boys making them gulp their saliva as they smiled awkwardly afterwards to calm the girl and not anger her any further.
She sighed and grabbed both of their hands as she forced them to hold each other's hands like a handshake.
"Be friend with each other and shake your hands!" They did what she said before pulling away their hands harshly.
"Now hug!"
"WHAT? NO WAY!" Both said together loudly making the girl put hand on her ears for protecting them from getting deaf.
"You won't?" she sniffled again, her big doe eyes on display.
"Fine!" And with that they looked at each other, anger still visible in "Smile as well! A big smile!" She said as she smiles brightly.
They stared at her smiling before focusing on each other. They forced a smile up their lips as they embraced each other, already disgusted but for her sake they could even take lives so this much wasn't hard, right?
"Great! You both won't try to kill each other again... Will you?" She asked as she looked quite worried for them.
What could she do? After all, James and Net were all she was left with.
"Never my little cupcake!" They let out together as they pulled her into a tight hug.
Who would imagine? The powerful mafias who wanted to kill each other were now hugging and spending time like a family?
This girl meant the world to them after all. For her, both males could do anything, just to see her happy.
She was Nia. Their precious little sister. Not connected to blood but heart. And the story of them encountering with her? That's a long and old story. Seven years long.
FLASHBACK
The time was seven years ago. That time when James and Net weren't mafia leaders. They were normal human beings, afraid to even kill an insect.
It was a rainy night when James ran away. From his house. Being angry and broken hearing his powerful mafia father that he wasn't worth anything, saying he wasn't serious about his life. He was nothing like his father. And James couldn't control the insult and hate his father was giving him. His mother didn't say anything confirming she also agreed with what his father said.
He was broken, seeing his close ones saying so many hurtful words to him, Who was barely 16 years old. Wasn't he too young to handle this? But his parent always thought the otherwise.
After all they were mafia. The cruel part of humans.
He ran and ran until it was a dreadful place where he couldn't see a thing. his heart racing as he felt the fear and nausea wash over him. It was all around him, a dark, oppressive force of the darkness and he didn't want to stay there a second longer.
He scanned the area, realizing he was near a highway. He could use the passing cars as a means of finding help. So he turned around ready to leave when he heard.... Screams.
His whole body started to shiver and he got stagnant there looking everywhere. Where was the screams coming from? It definitely was a girl's voice. And almost felt like a kid's voice. James felt the urge to ran away from there and think about himself but as much as he wanted to care about himself, his heart wanted the otherwise.
So he listened to his heart.
He followed the screams, running through the dark woods in search of where they were coming from. He stumbled over roots and rocks on the way because of the darkness.
However, when he ran even further, the place became clear. The trees were obstructing the moonlight from falling on the place at first, but now it seemed so clear.
The moonlight fell all around him, revealing everything more clearly. But the screams didn't stop or lower in volume. They were becoming louder and louder, and it was starting to sound like they were coming from somewhere close by. He ran in the direction of the screams, trying to find the person who most likely was in need of help.
After a while, the screams gradually grew quieter as the crying person came into sight. James felt his legs wobble as he saw the scene in front of him.
His eyes widen and jaw dropped. Clearly not expecting this.
