Anna lay on the ground. She recognized His eyes, they seemed familiar. Her mind explored the memories she had, looking for those eyes. She was greeted by two ice, silver-blue eyes. Rosie. Rosie had those eyes, the black hair, the attitude. Could they be related? No, not possible. She tries to get her mind off the fact that she may die.

"The stars are nice aren't they. So bright, so existent." Anna says. Her voice is soft and at peace, trailing away.

Rosie is breaking down, scared, scared that she would lose Anna forever. Scared that she would be alone. Cora took the broken down Rosie, "It will be okay, it is always okay."

"But what if she-" Rosie stared at Anna. Her eyes slowly closing. EMT's are running across the yard, the ambulance is being pulled around. They surround Anna and push her helpless friends away.

"She's unresponsive, get the defibrillator." An EMT says pumping air into Anna's lungs. Another comes back with the defibrillator and cuts open Anna's shirt, revealing the bullet wounds. He began to place the patches on Anna's chest and abdomen. The sound of the defibrillator charging up diminished the fact that Anna could be dead here and now.

"Clear!" He says, placing the D-fib paddles to her chest.

Anna chest thrusts upwards. Not coming to, a medic returns to pump air into her lungs.

"Clear!" the other goes, placing the paddles to Anna's chest. This time, the outcome is different. Anna's chest is thrust upwards, when her back hit the ground she exhales.

The EMT notices and puts his ear over her face, holding her wrist. He can't hear her inhaling or exhaling. He goes to try again, instead Anna exhales again. Her eyes shoot open, gasping for air, choking on the blood in her mouth.

"Stabilizing" the medic says.

"I need you to stay still alright? We can't help you, unless you let us." The medic says working on getting the blood to stop draining from her neck.

"I'm going to move you on your side, okay? We need to get you out of here." the medic says softly. Moving Anna onto her right side, allowing the blood flow to slow down, and two medics to come in and place a backboard beside her. As soon as Anna is safely on the back board they get her into the ambulance with her friends. She sees Him sitting sitting in the corner of the ambulance, smirking.

"Why are you here?" she mumbles before passing out.

"She's seizing, get an EKG register on her stat." The EMT says.

Cora, Matt, and Rosie, couldn't do anything other than stare, scared for their friend's life.

"We have the one of the few best doctors at Brighton Gen. She will be in good hands." the medic assures the three.

-- Near 20 minutes later --

Doctors are everywhere, scattered about, getting rooms prepped, rushing the new high priority patient, Anna, through the ER. Anna is laying on the gurney, she opens her eyes to figure out where she is. The ceiling lights are flying by, making her dizzy, she shuts her eyes quick. Everything around her is a blur. Rosie, Matt, and Cora are running with the EMT's along side the gurney. Their voices can't be picked up through the commotion. The gurney pauses just outside the surgery wing. Anna searches for her friends through the sea of doctors. The EMTs that were escorting her were replaced with surgeons. Meanwhile, down the hall her friends were arguing with hospital patrons. Throwing questions after questions to the doctors, only getting vague, short answers.

The doors to the OR hallways open, and doctors come through. A nurse administers anesthesia into Anna's IV. The doctors rush her down the surgery wing to the operating room. Anna closes her eyes listening to the sounds around her. She is too weak to concentrate, let alone use her powers.
