“Did I not tell you to leave?” Damon was upset. He looked back to Anna’s temporary lifeless body, “Way more fun than I wanted it to be.” He smirked slightly.
Matt slowly stumbled his way into a standing position, eyes widened.
“No. No. No.” Matt whimpered, not caring if he seemed like a pup. He just stared.
Damon raised an eyebrow. He realized, Matt doesn’t know about how snapping the neck only immobilizes a vampire.
Matt’s eyes went to a pale white, and the tears began to fall. Matt was blinded by his tears, his brotherly love for Anna, and the hatred towards himself for not listening. He fell back to the floor and curled into the fetal position. He was rocking back and forth, just as he did when he was a child. He was completely vegetative in the means of communication. He stayed crying, not caring if he seemed weak.
“She’s not dead. Follow me.” Damon picked her body up, slinging her over his shoulders. “Basement now.” He disappeared, getting to the basement, he dropped Anna’s body. “Oops.” He had his normal sarcastic attitude prevailing.
Matt followed, almost as if he were compelled, although he wasn’t. He was by Damon’s side in his pup form once again, his eyes still white. He whimpered, instinctively going over to Anna and curling on her stomach.
“I’d be in human form and away from her, for this.” Damon went to the cooler grabbing a blood bag. He was waiting patiently for something, not hinting at what.
Matt listened, and he moved to the stairs, not knowing what would happen. His eyes were glued to Anna, afraid that Damon was lying to him.
Anna’s eyes shot open, her veins rippling. She darted up and went after Damon.
“You little shit! You snapped my neck!” She placed her arm into his neck and glared into his eyes, with her tainted ones.
Damon responded with a smirk. “Welcome back.”
She stepped back, holding out her hand, pulling him from the wall. “Thank you for being a literal pain in the neck.” She rubbing her eyes, she groaned in slight pain as she went to sit on the step beneath Matt.
“Here.” Damon tossed her the blood bag.
“Oh yay a semi-warm drink for once.” Anna joked then looked up to Matt, “Hi there.”
Matt looked at her, not knowing how to respond. He had his head cocked to the side, not knowing what to say. He was speechless, and he just wanted to hold her close. He was in a mess with his emotions, everything amplifying since the attack.
“You miss me? I did.” She leaned back tapping him on the cheek.
“Do you have any idea what you did?” Damon looked at her.
“Vaguely, yes.” She looks to the stricken and confused man in front of her.
“And?” He jeers at her.
“And that was the past. Now I’m better and have control.” She rolled her eyes, biting into the provided blood bag. Her eyes stayed normal.
“How is it, that you make a better monster than I do? And how you look good for one?” Damon smirked, raising an eyebrow.
“Because I really am one and I don’t have to try.” She downed the last fews drops and tossed the bag at him. She glanced behind her, “What did I miss Matty?”
He had his head in his hands, and he mumbled a response. He tried to look in her eyes, but he couldn’t, in fear that she would compel him.
“You... tried to... kill me.” He mumbled again, using an unknown speed to get to Damon’s side.
