In the Malliv house, Sam and Rosie were setting the table for dinner. Anna came grumpily bounding down the stairs, seeing Rosie happy put light in her eyes.

Sam noticed the extra plates. "Who else is coming?"

"Matt and Cora, we planned to have dinner earlier this week anyways." Rosie was giddy, more than normal.

"Sounds fun I haven't seen the two in years. How old are they now?" Sam felt partially nostalgic.

Anna cut in. "Matt is eighteen, he's graduating with me year. Cora is sixteen."

"And you Rosie?" Sam looked up to the frantic and excited girl parallel to her.

"I'm eighteen this June. I'm a senior alongside this one here." She elbowed Anna in the side playfully.

The doorbell rang, and Rosie shot down the hallway. "I got it, I got it. Don't worry!"

She opened the door, greeted by the face she loved dearly. She shrieked and hugged him.

"I'm holding everything right now, Don't really want to drop anything." Damon jokes, handing his sister a grocery bag.

"Sorry, come in, come in." She took the bag and lead him to the kitchen.

"Let's get cooking shall we?" Damon cracks his knuckles and places the groceries on the counter. He places a large lone container alongside the bags and Anna goes to peek.

"Ah, Ah, Ah. No dessert before dinner hun." He slapped her hand away. She only glared unpacking the other groceries.

"Listen to him Anne." Sam grabs her baby sister's shoulder in a manner of shunning.

"I was curious to what he bought. Relax." She shrugged her sister's hand off.

Damon chuckled moving to the sink, washing his hands. They burned and he yanked them back.

"Mother fuc-" He cut himself off, lying. "The water is scorching." He held his seared hands behind him.

"Anna, did you remember to change the filter in the water tank?" Sam looked condescending.

"Er, What? Oh no. I didn't think I would have to. The water seemed fine." Anna rolled her eyes.

"Well the pressure is too high, meaning the water gets too hot. Can you do it now?" Sam continued the look at her sister.

"Yea yea yea." Anna backed into the hallway. She noticed Damon trying to say something discreet. "I'm not healing, vervaine in the supply."

She moved down the hall to where she was only in Damon's view. Anna tapped her ears and pointed down the basement steps. She slowly walked down the stairs whispering, "Basement now. We need to talk."

Damon already had his head tilted, listening clearly.

"I'm going to head down and help Anna. I have filters so I could switch them no problem." He excused himself abruptly, hiding his non healing hands from view.

"You have filters, knowing there's vervaine in the water supply. How do you forget to change them?" The small mistake caused him to slightly overreact.

"Shut up and drink." Anna tossed him a blood bag. "I have a slightly warmer, more body temperature preference. These sadly suffice."

"You are officially a monster. I like it. A feisty, sexy, not innocent warrior princess." He got into Anna's space, staring her down as he finished the blood bag.

"Did I not make it clear I wanted nothing to do with you? What's with you and my sister?" Anna shoved him back.

"What's with you and my sister?" He mocked.
