I was seated at the lunch table with Cora and Matt, the two were making out, like they always did, I frowned in disgust as a moan came from one of the two.

"You two disgust me," I declared.

Matt responded only with waving his hand at me in dismissal before going back to his girlfriend. I rolled my eyes and searched the cafeteria for Rosie, she was getting her own lunch, but she was also taking her sweet time getting it. I'm not known for being patient.

I spotted her immediately, she was across the cafeteria, tray in hand, she was standing in front of her larping buddies, a wide smile on her face. Of course, like any other normal person out there, I listened in, turning my head slightly as I picked up on their voice.

"Hey, congrats on being with Annie," he said, "I'm really happy for you, Rosie."

"Thanks, Jimmy, I really appreciate it."

I smiled, shaking my head and turning my attention back to the tray of food in front of me. I had caught a few comments flying around the cafeteria when I had used my hearing. Many were talking about the fight with Catrina, all of them talking about how amazing it had been. My smile widened, and I grabbed a grape from my plate popping it into my mouth.

"Hey, Annie," Rosie greeted, plopping her tray down on the table and taking a seat beside me.

I looked up at her, swallowing my grape and smiling. "Hey."

Rosie didn't hesitate in stuffing her mouth with her food. I grinned, her appetite had always been something I liked about her. I shook my head, grabbing another grape and popping it into my mouth, a smile still evident on my face.

As Rosie and I walked down the hall, towards her next class, I started to think of all the things her and I had been doing in the past few weeks, which sums up to pretty much nothing. A frown appeared on my face. We hadn't been out in a while and I didn't like it one bit. I took a deep breath and looked over at her, biting my lip.

"Hey, what are you doing after school today?" I asked.

Rosie glanced over at me before turning her attention back to the hall. That's the thing of walking in the halls between classes, everyone is rushing to their class, walking as fast as they can, if you don't pay attention, you're kissing the floor.

"Nothing, why?"

"Matt, Cora and I are going to DQ," I replied.

She nodded, waiting for me to continue.

"I was wondering if you'd like to come with us. I don't want to be the third wheel. You know how those two are; they never stop sucking face. Besides, I don't want one side of the booth to be feeling so lonely."

Rosie smiled, shaking her head in amusement. "Of course," she replied with a chuckle.

We stopped in front of her classroom, I peeked inside and saw that almost everyone was in there. Class was going to start any minute now.

"You should go, you're going to be late," Rosie ordered, pressing her lips against mine for a moment before walking into her class. I stood there for a moment, a goofy grin on my face before I took off down the hall.

We were all seated at our usual booth in DQ, the corner one. After a while of chatting and laughing at stupid things, Rosie stands looking at us expectantly.

"What do you guys want? I'm paying," she says.

I shook my head, frowning at her, "No you aren't," I contradicted, "I invited you here, I should be the one paying," I argued. As I go to stand, Rosie pushes me down, giving me a stern look.
