When Hongjoong woke up again it was dark. Glancing at the clock he realised why. It was 2AM. He could hear Seonghwa's light snore on the bed above him. Sighing, the leader made his way to the kitchen, where he poured himself a glass of water, trying to remember why he felt so rested even at this insane hour. As soon as he remembered everything, he groaned. He didn't mean to slip in front of EDEN.
"I will apologise to him tomorrow" mumbled the leader, trying to remember what schedule he would have that day. Producing with EDEN and Maddox in the morning, lunch, dance practice until 5PM and then free time and dinner together with the members. I can work with this, thought the boy, nodding to himself. Suddenly, a deep voice made him jump.
"Hyung, what're you doing awake?" mumbled sleepily Mingi, yawning right after.
"I couldn't sleep, sorry if I woke you up" apologised the older, making Mingi shake his head.
"You didn't wake me up hyung, don't worry. I had to use the bathroom but then I saw the lights on in the living room and came to check out who it was" explained the younger rapper.
"What are you doing awake?" asked Mingi.
"I couldn't sleep anymore" answered simply the leader.
"Want me to help you sleep?" offered Mingi, making Hongjoong shake his head.
"I don't feel tired at all actually" Mingi glanced at the clock and then at his friend, with a look that said 'seriously?'.
"It's 2:30AM hyung, whether you want it or not you're going back to sleep. Just three hours more if you really don't feel sleepy, I'm sure your body won't complain" decided Mingi.
"But I said I'm not tired, I'm the leader so you listen to me!" Hongjoong stomped his foot frustrated that the younger wouldn't listen to him.
"One last chance Joongie" Mingi's voice was cold, looking sternly at the shorter boy.
"It's hyung!" protested Hongjoong, who had slipped but still pretended to be big to avoid sleeping more.
"It would be if you were actually acting like my hyung. You're acting like a childish baby right now, and this behaviour won't be accepted. Come on, if you act like a good boy from now on you can sleep with me" offered Mingi trying to stay calm.
"Nuh! I 'tay 'wake!" exclaimed the leader, not pretending to be big anymore and just doing what his two years old mind told him to do.
"That's it. You're getting a timeout" Mingi gently picked up the boy and deposited him in a corner of the room.
"Five minutes, stay with your head on the wall and be a good boy" instructed Mingi, still with that kind voice and attitude.
" 'kay daddy" Hongjoong pouted but followed the orders, a small tear tracing a line on his cheek and a sob escaping him as soon as the caregiver left the room.
In the meantime, Mingi was still surprised by the new title Hongjoong had given him. Heating up some milk the rapper sighed, knowing the little was acting bratty only because he was tired. Once the drink was warm the boy stirred a spoonful of chocolate powder in it, knowing warm chocolate milk was Hongjoong's number 1 comfort drink. Then he transferred it in the little's baby bottle, just in time as he heard his timer go off, signalling Hongjoong's timeout was over. Walking to the living room, the older could hear sniffles, immediately growing concerned.
"Petal what's wrong?" Mingi approached the little quietly and calmly, as if he was a scared animal.
"Joongie s- sowwy daddy" hiccupped Hongjoong, making the other sigh.
"Did you learn your lesson?" asked softly the caregiver crouching to look at the little in the eyes. The boy nodded, a small sob escaping him.
"Good boy. Now, are we going back to bed like good boys do?" Joongie nodded obediently, enjoying the praise.
"I got you some milk, maybe it'll help you sleep if you really aren't sleepy like you said earlier" said quietly Mingi. The little nodded eagerly, his tired eyes sparkling as soon as he saw the item in his caregiver's hands.
"Awww come here petal" Mingi opened his arms. The little threw himself in the older's arms immediately, with tears still falling, making the rapper's heart ache.
"Want daddy to feed you?" whispered quietly Mingi, gently caressing the little's back in an attempt to ground him and calm him down. Hongjoong nodded quietly, a small sob wrecking his body.
"Daddy's sorry baby, he should've known you were just tired" apologised the older, wiping away a small tear from the leader's face.
"Is 'kay" replied quietly Hongjoong with a hoarse voice. Five minutes later, the boy finished his milk, earning a lot of praises by the caregiver, who was still feeling guilty.
"Let's get to bed, shall we? Wanna sleep with daddy?" asked quietly Mingi leaving the empty bottle on the small living room table and picking the little up, making sure he was comfortable on his hip. Hongjoong nodded and placed his head on the other's shoulder, his body relaxing and his eyes closing.
"My precious little flower" whispered Mingi, caressing the little's back. Hongjoong mumbled something and snuggled more in the rapper's neck, making him chuckle. Soon the two were fast asleep, cuddling and enjoying each other's presence.

I'm just so soft for Minjoong I can't even explain it (also this chapter is like 150 words shorter than my usual chapters so sorry for that)
Currently writing chapter 30 (yesterday i wrote smth like 200 words for that chapter) so chap. 30 will probably be the last one (i really want to write a sequel but it will probably end up discontinued like 'Babies' ngl) point is, i added a surprise at chapter 28 and i wanted to continue along those lines cause omg i love the plot twist (which isnt really a plot twist just a fun surprise) but yeah we'll see
Warm chocolate milk is the best littlespace drink one can have. Fight. Me. (orange juice is a close second tho) lmk your fav little drinks (or js your fav drinks if you don't regress)
