"Alex, ughh stop messing around!"

With Divya's phone in one hand, Alex was running around in his best friend's enormous house while Divya was running behind him, trying to get hold of the phone.

"Alex, give it back." She shrieked as she almost got to him, but he nimbled away quickly.

"Not unless I see the pictures!" He ran off and climbed on the sofa, standing straight as Divya came with the broom.

"Hand. It. Over." Her furious eyes met his face.

"Not. Till. I. Get. The. Pictures."Alex grinned, folding his hand and standing still.

The ringing of her phone brought them out of their lunatic fight as they saw the caller id.

Daksh🍊

"Why the orange emoji?" Alex cracked up as the phone continued to ring.

"Pick up first!" she yelled again as Alex successfully managing to get on her nerves.

"Hello handsome." Alex picked up the video call, his grinning face in front of the screen.

"What the fuck?!" gone was the happy man who had called, now was the annoyed one. "Alex, what are you doing in my house and why did you pick my wife's phone?"

"Daksh he is annoying me!" He heard Divya's voice in the background and a string of curses left his mouth.

"Aye, it's raining so heavily so I crashed at my best friend's house while I came to drop off a file and now his wife is accusing me of preposterous allegations which are deceitful." Alex made the best puppy face possible and Divya just sat on the floor, her palms massaging her temples as she felt annoyance ooze again.

She believed that no one except Steve had the ability to aggravate and vex her but Alex successfully managed to prove her wrong.

"You should join my legal team, Alex," her husband's voice filled the room and she snatched the phone from Alex's hand in one go, settling in her original position on her floor again.

"Hi." she smiled as his incredible face filled the screen.

"Hi," he breathed out, a smile matching hers pasted on his face.

"You called." she beamed at him.

"A man can call his wife, can't he?" Daksh smiled, fingers shaking at the mention of the word wife. It always managed to give him goosebumps and he did not yet know how she had this effect on him.

"Yes he can, and he should, all day every day!" she smiled, her heart pounding against her chest.

"Ughhh, stop those flirty lines and talk!" Alex yelled again, and Divya smacked him.

"It's raining too much and the roads have been shut. I'll stay in the office till it is a bit normal and then come home. You stay in and take care." his firm voice wiggled something in her stomach and she was happy that atleast he was safe.

"Shall I lock Alex in a room and shut the door forever?" she raised an eyebrow and stared at her husband.

"Oh yes mi reina, and tape his mouth too."

"I'll tie up his hands and legs and feed him mud."

"The fuck." shock was evident on his face. "Dost Ho ya dushman, aisa kaun bolta hai yaar!" (are you my friends or enemy, who talks like that?). Alex sulked. "Daksh, because I admire you so much, I will do just like you. I will stay here till the rains stop. Thank you."
