Later that evening, after dinner at our respective homes, I heard a familiar knock on my window.

I opened it, grinning. "Back so soon? What are you doing here? I was supposed to come over to your place."

"You were taking too long," Cassi replied, her voice teasing and eyes twinkling as she tried to look cute to avoid a scolding.

I chuckled, reaching out to help her climb through the window.

Cassi wore a dress that ended just above her knees, and as she stepped over the sill, I accidentally glimpsed her white undies.

"You saw, didn't you?" Cassi asked, a blush creeping up her cheeks.

I smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, it's white."

"Stop it," Cassi said, swatting my arm playfully. "You better not tell anyone!"

"Your secret is safe with me," I said, holding up my hands in mock surrender. "Besides, it's not like I can forget. White is such a memorable colour."

Cassi rolled her eyes, but there was a hint of playfulness in her voice. "Do you always notice what colour of underwear girls are wearing?"

I laughed, shaking my head. "Only when they climb through my window in short dresses."

"Well, I guess I'll have to be more careful then," Cassi said, trying to keep a straight face but failing as a smile broke through.

"Or you could just wear pants," I suggested, winking at her.

"Not a chance," Cassi shot back. "I like my dresses."

"And I like you wearing dresses too," I admitted, causing Cassi to blush again.

"You're such a flirt," she said, giving me a playful shove.

"Only with you," I replied, my tone more serious.

I reached out, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "You are beautiful, Cassi."

"Thanks, Kalix," she said softly.

We spread our books out on my desk and began reviewing our materials.

As usual, Cassi's focus was unwavering, her brow furrowed in concentration.

I found myself admiring her dedication and beauty, a familiar warmth spreading through my chest.

As midnight approached, we decided to call it a night.

Cassi gathered her things, preparing to head home.

Before she left, she turned to me, a shy smile on her lips. "Thanks for everything, Kalix. Goodnight."

I stepped forward, wrapping her in a gentle hug. "Goodnight, Cassi. Sleep well."

Cassi hugged me tightly, resting her head against my chest for a moment before pulling back.

Just before she turned to leave, she leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to my lips, a playful smack.

I blinked, surprised, then grinned. "What was that for?"

Cassi giggled, her cheeks turning pink. "The payment you talked about earlier."

I laughed softly, a warm feeling spreading through my chest. "Well, I won't argue with that."

"Goodnight, Kalix," Cassi said, her eyes sparkling with affection.

"Goodnight, Cassi," I replied, my voice soft and tender.

She climbed out of the window and disappeared into the night, leaving me with a sense of contentment and the promise of tomorrow.

As I closed the window behind her, I couldn't help but blush, thinking about what had just happened.

Cassi had kissed me—on the lips.

It was my first kiss.

I hadn't thought she would do that, especially since I had been joking only earlier when we were in the café.

The realization made my heart race, and I touched my lips, still feeling the warmth of her kiss.

The next morning, I pulled up to Cassi's house right on time.

As she stepped out, I couldn't help but think about how she seemed to become even more beautiful every day.

She was wearing a black dress that reached just above her knees, looking elegant and confident.

The black colour complemented her fair and smooth skin perfectly.

My eyes couldn't help but wander down to her legs. She's such a walking tease, I thought.

I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened between us last night.

Cassi had kissed me on the lips.

As she approached the car, I greeted her with a good morning.

It was obvious that Cassi was feeling shy around me, probably thinking about what had happened the night before as well.

I opened the car door for her and helped her with her seatbelt.

Cassi looked at me, still appearing a bit shy.

"Black looks good on you," I said as I adjusted her dress.

I teased her, saying, "Even though you're wearing black, I bet your underwear is white again."

Cassi blushed and narrowed her eyes at me. "How do you know that? Did you peek again when I got into the car?"

I laughed, enjoying her flustered reaction. "Nope, just a lucky guess. But thanks for confirming it."

Cassi crossed her arms, trying to appear stern but failing. "You're incorrigible, you know that?"

I grinned. "And yet, here you are, still talking to me. What does that say about you?"

Cassi shook her head, a smile playing on her lips. "It says I have a lot of patience."

"Or maybe you secretly enjoy my teasing," I countered, my eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Keep dreaming," Cassi retorted, but her smile betrayed her amusement.

"Seriously, though," I said, my tone softening a bit. "You look really good today. The black dress suits you."

Cassi looked down, fiddling with the hem of her dress. "Thanks, Kalix."

I leaned in slightly, my voice dropping to a playful whisper. "And just for the record, you don't always have to wear white panties under your dress. Kindly wear red undies too."

Cassi's blush deepened, "Kalix!"

I chuckled, raising my hands in mock surrender.

Cassi laughed, shaking her head. "You're impossible."

"And you love it," I said confidently.

Cassi rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile. "Maybe I do."

I walked over to the driver's seat, still chuckling.

As I drove towards the school, the previously shy Cassi started talking to me comfortably again.
