20. Let them breathe

It is night time.

It is time for both of them to sleep, Neil is sitting on the bed waiting for her who is changing in the washroom.

Whereas Avni has made up her mind today after knowing half of the thing from Abhishek and Prakash that as soon as she goes to the room she will directly ask Neil about his past.

Avni wears a slightly loose cotton T-shirt which ends above her waist and a pair of pyjamas underneath, and there is a gap of some inches between her T-shirt and pajamas due to which her belly was not much but was slightly visible.

Standing in front of the washroom mirror, she raises her hands to tie her hair into a loose bun and in this attempt her t-shirt lifts up exposing the soft skin of her stomach.
But then she pulls down her T-shirt and adjusts it, and after looking at herself in the mirror once again, she heads towards the room.

Avni comes into the room but as soon as she enters the room she feels a strong smell of balm and she sees how Neil is rubbing his head
She understands that he is applying balm.

" What happened? Are you okay?" she asks to which Neil looks at her

" Yes, I am fine, it's just a little headache." Neil says this while continuing to rub his forehead and Avni sits on the bed after coming close to the bed.

And as he has already applied the balm, Avni does not ask him about this thing further and says

" Come here, I will massage your head." She says while gesturing him to put his head on her lap to which Neil looks at her to see if he heard it right or not.

" What happened, come here...." she says again and Neil looks at her

"Are you sure?" he wants to confirm.

" Yes and now come" she says pointing to her lap again and Neil moves towards her with a slight smile and then he lies down on the bed, rests his head on her lap and looks up at her face, which is already looking at him with a smile.

And as soon as he rests, Avni places her hand on his forehead and then she starts gently massaging his forehead with her fingers, upon which he closes his eyes.

" Meri life TV serial se kam nahi hai....jab kuch socho, uska ulta ho jaata hai.
I thought I would talk to him today but now in his condition I can't give him more headache by asking him all those things....hmm, I missed the chance today too." She thinks as she looks at his closed eyes while massaging his head.

Whereas Neil feels a different kind of peace while lying in her lap like this, He opens one eye slightly and looks at her, who looks a little worried for him, He closes his eyes with a mischievous smile as it wouldn't be wrong to say that he is faking a headache at the moment and he did this so that he could get a chance to rest his head in her lap like this.

Well, he had least expected this, he had expected something but at the same time he thought if he lied she would just come close to him and massage his head but she has really changed a lot, she has really accepted their relationship and he can clearly see all this in her behavior, actions and in her words.

" Are you feeling better now ?" she asks, bringing him out of his thoughts to which he opens his eyes

"Yes" he says and gets up from her lap

" Now, you sleep." He says

" but I'm not sleepy..." She says

" hmm, Then let's talk while laying, you'll fall asleep..." He gives this idea but at the same time Avni can see a mischievous smile on his lips, is something going on in his mind? She thinks.
