33. His confession

A few days pass

One morning, Neil wakes up but as soon as he wakes up, he feels a sharp pain in his head which he is unable to understand the cause of.

He gets up and sits straight on the bed, holding his head where he is feeling severe pain.

" Why is my head hurting so much?" He says and sees that the place next to him on the bed is empty, where is she? But suddenly he notices that this is not the room where they sleep every day

Both of them sleep in the upstairs room, so what is he doing in the downstairs room today and while thinking this, his attention goes to the clothes he is wearing, where he is wearing the same clothes he wore last night, black pants and white shirt.
He slept without changing? He thinks and suddenly he gets some flashes of last night in front of his eyes and he gets shocked remembering them.

He was drunk? But how and where is Avni now? Is she angry with him for his this act ?

Looking around the room and not finding her anywhere, he immediately gets off the bed and leaves the room and as he comes out, he finally sees Avni who is sitting at the dining table sipping her coffee.

He looks at the clock in the hall where it is about to be 9 o'clock, he slept for so long? Now he is really angry with himself.

In guilt he takes his steps towards her slowly and comes close to her

Meanwhile, Avni, sitting at the dining table, feels his presence standing next to her but she does not look at him and is quietly sipping her coffee.

And Neil seeing her behavior, gets filled with guilt more, did he do something wrong to her due to which she got angry, why is he not able to remember anything clearly

And before he opens his mouth to say sorry to her, he is shocked when he sees a hickey on her neck which is clearly visible because her hair is tied in a messy bun.

" Did I misbehave with you?" He asks her

And although both are slowly moving forward in their relationship but still he was drunk last night and he did not know how he was drunk, but did he force himself on her in that state? And obviously, those marks on her neck prove that he did something that he doesn't remember

And Avni, on hearing his question, finally takes her eyes off her coffee and looks up at him who's standing in front of her.

Neil sees how she is looking at him seriously: but then she gets up from the chair and stands in front of him and he looks at her waiting for the answer to his question

" No." Her answer gives him relief, but her behavior makes him anxious when she says "no" and walks away.

" There is lemonade on the table. Drink it, your hangover will go away." Before walking away from him, she doesn't forget to say this to which he looks at her who is now walking towards the open kitchen of their house.

He sees that she is making something there but there is only one question in his mind that if he did not misbehave then why is she ignoring him

" I'm sorry, I don't drink, I don't know how I got drunk last night..." Understanding the other meaning of her anger and indifference, he gives his explanation coming inside the kitchen

" I said something, why are you giving explanation?" She says without looking at him

" Then why are you ignoring me? Why are you ignoring me when I have not misbehaved?" He asks her, to which she does not answer

"I am asking you something." He says to which she looks at him

"Will you freshen up and come for breakfast, it's already late for breakfast, I have to go out for some work." She says this to which he gets shocked, he was asking her about something else and here she is talking about breakfast.
