28. New home

The door of an apartment opens and there Neil is standing at the door holding Avni's hand.
There is a light smile on both of their faces after coming together to their new home.

It is on the 21st floor of a 45 floor building, Neil has taken a beautiful and luxurious 3 BHK flat as their new home.
Actually he had bought this apartment a long time ago but was just waiting to come here with Avni.

This house has a very large living area, two rooms on the lower floor, a kitchen and attached balconies from every corner so there is a room on the upper floor and there too there is a big balcony and some other spaces. ( A small glimpse of his house is given in the image box above, you can see it for better imagination.)

" Wait" Neil stops Avni at the door when she's about to enter, which confuses her

" What happened?" Avni asks him as he went inside but left her at the door and then Avni sees that he is bringing an aarti plate and also a plate of red kumkum.

Neil stands in front of her with those things on which Avni looks at him confusedly and clearing her confusion Neil says

" I don't know much about all this, nor do I know how to do, but I saw Maa doing this when you came to that house after getting married..." Avni sees him on this

" You are my good fortune, you are the form of Goddess Lakshmi, who came into my life and made me prosperous, so it is obvious that your welcome will be special, isn't it?" He says to which her eyes widen a bit in surprise as she wonders how this man could even think such things, Does he really think she is so auspicious? Till now she was just a burden for everyone.

Her eyes become moist after receiving this respect from him.

She smiles with moist eyes and Neil does her Aarti and then applies teeka on her forehead just like Shweta did after the wedding welcoming her, and Avni does not do anything but just this gesture and the respect he gave her brings a soulful smile on her face.

After the Aarti, Neil asks her to dip her hand in Kumkum and leave a handprint on a wall of the house, to which Avni holds his hand.

" As you said this house is ours, then why only my handprint ?" Saying this, Avni dips his and her right hand in the kumkum and then she makes handprints of both of them together on the side wall inside the house, right next to the door, and after doing this, both of them look at each other with a smile.

" Do you like this house?" asks Neil after giving her a tour of the house

" The house is really beautiful but don't you think it's too big for us?" she says to which he looks at her

" I mean a one room house would be enough for us, no ?" she says to which Neil smiles.

" It would have been enough for us but who told you that only the two of us will live in this house..." She looks at him confused at his words

" Then who else will stay with us?" he mentally smiles at her words.

" Obviously our family will grow in the future." She looks at him confused at his words because in the first few seconds she is unable to understand the meaning of his words, but when she understands somewhere, her heart skips a beat.

Is he talking about their future which they haven't even talked about yet? But at the same time, her heart becomes happy thinking about her beautiful future with him.

She looks at him and Neil looks at her with a slightly knowing smile making her realize that he is talking about what she is thinking, yes he is talking about their kids who will live with them in this house in future and somewhere, she feels shy about this.
