The trio led Seungcheol through the forest towards their main territory. The tension from their initial meeting had eased slightly, but Seungcheol could still sense the underlying wariness in the 3 wolves.

As they walked, Seungcheol observed Jeonghan more closely. There was something about the Beta that intrigued him – a quiet strength and an air of authority that seemed unusual for his rank.

So, he decided to address it directly.

"Jeonghan," Seungcheol began, "I noticed you have a unique presence for a Beta. The way Mingyu and Wonwoo defer to you... it's different." Seungcheol said.

Jeonghan glanced at Seungcheol, a faint smile on his lips. "I suppose it's not typical, is it? But circumstances have a way of shaping us." Jeonghan said.

Mingyu and Wonwoo exchanged a glance, silently agreeing to walk up ahead, and let Jeonghan take the lead on this explanation.

Seungcheol continued, "I also heard things about your past, about Emberfang?" Seungcheol added.

Jeonghan's expression turned more serious. "Yes, I was part of the Emberfang Clan. But that was a long time ago." Jeonghan clarified.

To Seungcheol, the Emberfang Clan was the stuff of legends, known for their resilience and defiance, traits that made them nearly mythic.

"Is it true that... the Emberfangs were known for their refusal to submit to Alphas?" Seungcheol asked as Jeonghan nodded.

"If I may ask how did you end up as the temporary leader here?" Seungcheol asked.

"The Emberfang Clan dispersed years ago, many of us joined or formed new packs." Jeonghan said.

"And how I became leader... Long story short, as the oldest and someone with a strong lineage, I was appaerntly the best canidate." Jeonghan said.

"Jeonghan held us together when everything was falling apart. Without him, we wouldn't have made it this far." Mingyu chimmed in as Wonwoo nodded in agreement.

"I can see why the pack holds you in such high regard. It also gives me a clearer picture of what I need to live up to." Seungcheol smiled.

Jeonghan shrugged slightly, though there was a modest pride in his eyes. "I did what needed to be done. Just as you will, I hope." Jeonghan said.

As they continued their walk towards the heart of the territory. Seungcheol felt a weight lift off his shoulders.
