After Mingyu and Wonwoo finished patrol that night, their terriotry was calm, all that could be heard was the soft rustling of leaves.

In a secluded part of the forest Mingyu and Wonwoo sat side by side, taking a rare moment to relax and enjoy each other's company.

Mingyu leaned back against a tree, his long legs stretched out in front of him. He let out a contented sigh, breaking the comfortable silence. "You know, it's nice to have a moment like this. Just us, away from all the responsibilities."

"Yeah, it feels like we haven't had much time to just... be." Wonwoo agreed.

"Remember the first time we found this spot?" Mingyu chuckled, refereting to brook forest stream. "We were so convinced it was our secret hideaway." He added.

"Yeah, until Hoshi followed us and declared it his 'training ground'." Wonwoo pointed out.

"Remember when we were younger" Mingyu said, a nostalgic tone in his voice.

"Yeah, we thought coming here after patrol was this biggest adventure we could ever have. Trying to catch fish with our bare hands." Wonwoo nodded.

"And failing miserably every time."  Mingyu laughed, the sound echoing through the trees.

Wonwoo's eyes sofened with the memory. "Those were simpler times."

Mingyu glanced at Wonwoo, "I've been thinking about how things have changed since Seungcheol arrived." Mingyu said.

"Yeah, it's been a lot to take in. But I think he's doing well so far." Wonwoo clairifed. Heck, Seungcheol got them to partake in another blood ceremony, which is something Wonwoo never thought he'd do again.

"He really stepped up with Dino. I was impressed by how he handled that." Mingyu nodded.

"It was about time someone did. Dino's been living in fear for too long." Wonwoo smiled slightly. "We should head back closer to the den." The older said, getting to his feet.

Mingyu got to his feet aswell, giving Wonwoo a playful nudge. "Race you back?"

"You're on." He smirked.
