As the morning drew to a close, Woozi found himself seeking out Hoshi, who he spotted sitting near the edge of the camp, laying out under the sun.
Approaching him with a sense of gratitude swelling in his heart, Woozi cleared his throat to get Hoshi's attention.
Hoshi opened his eyes and looked up at him. "Hey, Woozi," Hoshi greeted. "What's up?"
"I just wanted to thank you for helping me get out on patrol today." Woozi said honestly.
Hoshi's smile widened. "You're welcome, Woozi. I'm glad I could help." He said, motining for Woozi to join him on the ground. "So, how was it?" He asked.
"Well, I know I haven't been the most adventurous member of the pack, but... today was different. It felt good to be out there, to experience something new." Woozi admitted.
"I'm glad to hear that, Woozi. Patrol duty is an important part of pack life, and I knew you'd do great once you gave it a chance." Hoshi said.
"Thank you for believing in me, Hoshi. I never would have done it without you." Woozi said truthfully.
Hoshi reached out, placing a hand on Woozi's shoulder. "You're welcome, Woozi. Anytime you need a push out of your comfort zone, I'll be there to support you." He teased.
Woozi smiled, a sense of warmth spreading through him at Hoshi's words. "I appreciate that, Hoshi. Thanks again."
.
As the evening settled over the pack's territory, Jeonghan emerged from his den, his thoughts still consumed by the day's events. He had spent the day tending to various pack matters, but his mind kept drifting back to Seungcheol and the strides he was making as their new Alpha.
.
Seungcheol had happened to run into Jeonghan on his way back to his den. "Jeonghan, perfect timing! I wanted to tell you something." Seungcheol smiled.
"And that is?" Jeonghan asked, intrigued by Seungcheol's enthusiasm.
Seungcheol's smile widened as he gestured towards Woozi, who was laying down on the grass with Hoshi.
"I managed to get Woozi out on patrol this morning." Seungcheol said as Jeonghan's eyes lit up.
"You did? That's... incredible, Seungcheol." Jeonghan said, a mixture of astonishment and delight washing over him.Seungcheol nodded. "Yeah, I know it was his first time on patrol, but he did great! He even spotted a few potential threats on his own!" Seungcheol listed off.
Jeonghan's heart swelled with pride for Woozi, knowing how much of a challenge it must have been for him to step out of his comfort zone.
"That's amazing, Seungcheol. Thank you for doing that." Jeonghan smiled.
Seungcheol shook his head. "It was the least I could do. Especially with his hunting training starting soon. But I should probably get him on a few night patrols." He said.
"I mean, you can send them out tonight, Mingyu has been bouncing off the walls all morning, he's defiently gonna crash by dinner time." Jeonghan laughed.
"In that case, I'll go ask him, see if Hoshi will go with him." Seungcheol laughed.
