The first rays of dawn filtered through the den's casting a warm, golden light. The air was crisp and filled with the songs of waking birds.

Seungcheol, now officially the pack's Alpha, felt a profound sense of calm as he prepared for his first patrol in his new role.

He had chosen to take a small group with him for this first patrol: Jeonghan, Mingyu, and Dino.

Seungcheol turned to face his companions, a confident smile on his face. "Ready to get started?"

"Let's see what the morning has in store for us." Jeonghan nodded.

"I'm always up for a patrol." Mingyu agreed. "It's been a while since I've had a nice morning one." He added.

Dino, on the other hand was practically vibrating with excitement. "I can't wait! Lead the way, Seungcheol." He said, his makane side showing.

They set off, moving through the forest with ease. As they walked, Seungcheol engaged in light conversation with his packmates.

He wanted to give this patrol a sense of ease, especially for Dino, who had recently shed the muzzle and was beginning to find his confidence.

"How's it feeling to be free of that thing?" Seungcheol asked Dino, giving him a supportive glance.

"It's amazing. I feel like I can finally breathe. Thanks again for helping me." Dino grinned.

Jeonghan nudged Dino playfully. "You're part of the pack, Dino. We look out for each other." Jeonghan chuckled.

"He's right." Seungcheol agreed with the younger.

"Everything looks clear so far. It's nice to have a patrol where we're not on edge the whole time." Mingyu called from up ahead.

"He only says that cause we make him and Wonwoo do night patrols." Jeonghan teased.

Seungcheol nodded. "A peaceful patrol is a good way to start the day." Seungcheol said, taking a deep breath of fresh morning air.

As they continued, they came across a small stream. The sunlight danced on the water's surface, creating a serene scene that made Seungcheol smile.

He crouched down, dipping his hand into the cool water. "This place is beautiful," he remarked. "It's moments like these that remind us why we protect our territory."

Jeonghan joined him by the stream, splashing some water playfully. "You're right. It's easy to forget the beauty when we're always on guard."

Eventually, they looped back towards the pack's den, the sun now lower in the sky, a few clouds scattered overhead.

The patrol had been uneventful, but it had been exactly what they needed: a reminder of the peace they fought to protect and the bonds that held them together.

Back at the dens, Seungcheol turned to his members. "Thank you guys for joining me. This was a good start. Let's keep working together to ensure many more peaceful days like this." He smiled.
