That night, as the moon hung high in the sky, its light reflecting off the surface of a gently flowing stream.

Jun stood at the water's edge, his reflection rippling with the current. He dipped his feet into the cool water, lost in thought.

Minghao emerged from the shadows, "Jun," he called softly, causing the older to turn to him.

"Hey, what are you doing out here?" Jun asked as Minghao stepped into the water next to him.

"I could ask you the same," Minghao replied with a small smile. "Couldn't sleep?"

Jun shook his head. "Too much on my mind. The pack, the new leadership... everything feels uncertain in a way."

Minghao looked down at the water, their reflections now mingling in the water. "Uncertainty can be daunting, but it can also bring new opportunities. Seungcheol's leadership might be what we need."

Jun sighed, his eyes fixed on the stream. "I hope so. It's just hard to let go of the past." Jun said, he was farely close with their past leader as the pack's oldest omega.

Minghao nudged him gently. "It's okay to feel that way. Just remember, we're all here for each other. We'll navigate this together."

Jun looked at him, gratitude shining in his eyes. "Thank you, Minghao. You always have a way of making things seem less scary."

Minghao smiled, his eyes softening. "That's what Beta's are for, right?"

"You're more than just a beta Hao." Jun laughed as he tucked a strand of hair behind Minghao's ear. "So much more." He whispered.
