"Ready for your first night patrol, Woozi?" Hoshi asked as he and Woozi began walking.

"Yeah, I think so. Thanks for coming with me." Woozi nodded as he took a deep breath.

"Of course. Let's get going." Hoshi smiled as he threw an arm around Woozi's shoulder.

They set off into the forest, the sounds of the night surrounding them. The rustle of leaves, the distant call of an owl, and the gentle whisper of the wind created a symphony that filled the silence between them.

Woozi's senses were heightened even more than the morning, every shadow and sound catching his attention.

"Night patrols are a bit different from daytime ones," Hoshi explained as they walked.  "You have to rely more on your other senses since visibility is limited." He added.

Woozi nodded, trying to stay alert. "Got it."

As they ventured deeper into the forest, Hoshi guided Woozi through the routine checks, showing him how to identify tracks and signs of potential threats. Woozi listened intently, taking mental note of the information and doing his best to stay focused.

After a while, they reached a small area bathed in moonlight. Hoshi stopped and turned to Woozi, "Alright, let's take a moment to listen and observe," Hoshi said. "What do you hear?"

Woozi closed his eyes, concentrating on the sounds around him. He could hear the rustling of leaves, the distant trickle of a stream, and the occasional chirp of a cricket. But there was something else, a faint rustling sound that seemed out of place.

"I hear something moving in the underbrush," Woozi said quietly, his eyes snapping open.

Hoshi nodded approvingly. "Good. Let's check it out."

They moved cautiously towards the source of the sound, when suddenly, a small rabbit darted out from the underbrush, its eyes wide with fear.

Woozi let out a relieved sigh. "Just a rabbit."

Hoshi smiled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Yep, just a rabbit. But you did well, Woozi. You stayed alert and identified the sound correctly." He said.

"Thanks." Woozi smiled as they continued their patrol. Like always, Woozi found  Hoshi's presence was reassuring.

By the time they returned to the camp, the sky was beginning to lighten with the first hints of dawn. They had stayed out a bit later than normal but it was okay since it was Woozi's first one.

"Thanks for everything, Hoshi," Woozi said as they stood at the front door of their den.

"You did great, Woozi. I'm proud of you. Welcome to the night patrol team." Hoshi teased as he ruffled Woozi's hair.
