The next morning, Jeonghan was quite happy to see Seungcheol emerge from the Alpha den, it was clear he had slept there overnight.
"I can see they invited you in." Jeonghan smiled. "How was it?" He asked.
"It was nice, I appericate them trust me enough to stay the night." Seungcheol nodded. "Also, I was wondering if we could talk about something." He said.
"Ofcourse, what is it?" Jeonghan asked.
"Last night, Mingyu addressed me as 'The Alpha'." Seungcheol started. "And I know I've been chosen as the new Alpha, but I don't want to just take the title. I want to earn it." He said.
Jeonghan's eyes widened in shock, he remembers Seungcheol mention the, official passing of leadership ceremony, but he didn't think he was serious.
"I want us to perform the traditional passing of leadership ceremony, where I officially take on the role of Alpha." Seungcheol admitted.
"Us? But I am only the temporary leader..." Jeonghan said.
"You we're still there leader Jeonghan, you have done so much for this pack. It's only fair to you and all your hard work that we have an official passing." Seungcheol said as Jeonghan slowly nodded.
"And, if the others are okay with it, I want the pack to partake in the blood ceremony." Seungcheol added.
The blood ceremony was was a sacred tradition among wolf packs, a symbol of respect and continuity. Jeonghan and the others had done it once before with their old pack leader.
"We can do the leadership passing. But - we'll have to talk to the others about the blood ceremony." Jeonghan said.
"That is okay, I know this is a big ask. Thank you for considering it Jeonghan." Seungcheol smiled.
.
Days later, Seungcheol stood before the assembled pack, mentally preparing for the question he was going to have to ask: for them to consider participating in the blood ceremony.
"I know that the blood ceremony holds a special significance for all of you. It's a powerful symbol and a tradition that has been passed down through generations." Seungcheol started.
He paused, giving the pack a moment to reflect on the weight of his words before continuing.
"I'm aware that the blood ceremony has been performed once before, in honor of your past pack leader. But I believe that performing it again, with me as your new Alpha, could serve as a powerful symbol of our solidarity and determination to forge a new path together."
Seungcheol's gaze swept over the assembled wolves, his expression open and sincere. "However," he added, his voice softening,
"I understand that this may not be something that everyone feels comfortable with. It is a deeply personal decision, and I would never force anyone to do this against their will." He said.
"And if you all say no, we simply will not do the ceremony. And I will still consider you my pack with or without the ceremony or mark." Seungcheol reassured.
With those final words, Seungcheol fell silent, allowing the pack members to contemplate his request.
"I'll do it." Woozi called out, shocking them all. "For the pack." He said.
And just like that, one by one, all the members agreed to partake in the blood ceremony.
