SUMMER BLAKE
Entering the halls of Wentworth High felt like walking into a lion's den but probably 10x worse.
You see Wentworth was an interesting school that I used to have under my thumb, basically in complete control. Although ever since my coma my popularity has taken a downward toll. Still popular just not as before.
Hence why this fake "breakup" between me and Kai is not exactly in my favor. You see my coma gave Kai enough time to move from a whole other state and gain the popularity I lost and even more. Being that much of a star player does that to you I guess.
Due to this breakup the whole school automatically was forced to pick a side... guess whose side the majority were on.
Yup, it was Kai's side, I wasn't exactly bothered because this was surprisingly similar to my first day back just with a bit more negative energy.
Today all the seniors had to meet up for the senior trip in the cafeteria.
As I walked towards the cafeteria I noticed all the dirty looks and chuckles coming from all sorts of people with connections to either the basketball team or Kai.
Of course, I ignored the looks but couldn't fight the nervousness of entering the cafeteria, that's where the real gossip was from the most familiar faces.
I push my way through the 2 large fancy double doors and take in a deep breath.
Immediately upon entering the room, everyone stares at who arrived and I see and hear the various reactions from every corner of the cafeteria.
Just about 500+ seniors in total not too much. Definitely not nerve-racking at all.
I scan the room seeing Rick and his crew snickering to themselves but I'm truly not worried about them.
My real worries lie with the new friends that I had made whether it was through Kai or not we all ended up hanging around each other and being fond of each other.
I lock eyes with Rami first and she smiles at me reassuringly gesturing me to come over. My eyes then land on Ivy who also seems more than welcoming.
This causes me to exhale a breath I didn't even know I was holding in.
Jay looks a bit conflicted considering I slapped his best friend but he ends up giving me a slight nod of acknowledgment. A complete contrast to his usual goofy behavior, but at least better than no acknowledgment at all.
The rest of Kai's friends who sometimes hang with us don't gimme me much of a glance, most likely afraid of upsetting the king.
