3RD PERSON NARRATOR
Kai gripped the black leather steering wheel his knuckles borderline white as his body was struck with a sinister feeling something he was all too familiar with. There was now a possible chance that he would lose someone he now cherished more than life itself.
The car was tense and quiet as they sped towards the abandoned gas station and forest clearing while the sun vividly set.
This was not the life any of them had imagined at that exact moment. All of them squeezed into the back of the black SUV the rate of their hearts probably going faster than the speed of the car altogether.
Ivy nervously shifts in the car her hand shaking, Mikey notices this his hand reaching out to comfort her. They exchange looks their eyes meeting each other for a fleeting moment.
"The gas stations right up ahead Kai slow down", Jay says his voice loud and worried.
They had all been ignoring the presence that Kai was exuding his speeding scaring them slightly but no one said a thing because who were they to try and calm his heart right now, they didn't have those capabilities at least not like Summer once did.
Kai pulls up and wastes no time hopping out of the car the rest of them following suit with almost the same speed.
Kai searches the grounds his senses overstimulated and his head whipping.
"I don't see shit", Kai yells out muttering impatiently.
Anxiety spikes in Kai his restlessness getting to a point of no return.
He paces further into the gas station seeing nothing but gas-filled inventory and dry pumps.
"What the fuck", Nolan exclaims loudly also staring into the vast nothingness.
"Are you sure this was the location pin", Kai asks looking towards Ivy desperation shining throughout his eyes.
"Yes I'm 100 percent sure", Ivy says her face nervous.
"Check again", Kai says demanding.
Ivy fumbles for her phone quickly going to check her imessage status from her conversation from when she would text Summer in order to monitor her location.
"Fuck there's no signal here", she says her eyes watering.
Mikey puts his hand on her back rubbing reassuringly.
"Goddamnit!!!", Kai yells pacing his hands yet again in his hair exclaiming in distress.
Kai then locks eyes with Jay and they know what type of timing their on.
"Let's find them.", Kai says his voice silent and sinister.
Something strange was obviously going on here and they knew exactly where they were going to go next.
They didn't have a clue in the world where Summer was but for sure these people would have much more than a clue.
The main question that was on everyone's mind
Where was Summer?
SUMMER BLAKE
The first thing I feel is my head pounding.
My eyes open and I see light which is something that I've grown to hate due to my last near encounter at death's door, I know I have experienced this before but this feels significantly different.
Life may have just decided to save me for the damn near last time.
I feel safe almost
so many questions are floating around in my head right now yet I can't focus on not one of them.
Where the fuck am I???
I reach up and notice my head bandaged feeling it ache and begin to throb making me clutch my forehead in pain.
I feel warm and shift around in what feels to be a bed, I realize I'm in a bedroom and feel and see the atmosphere of an old cabin.
No way did Rick do this.
clearly Rick was much stronger than me by tenfolds and if it truly is him behind where I am right now I don't think I'd be able to escape without a scratch.
Panic floods my veins at the thought of him and I feel my chest get tight, I can feel an attack coming on but suddenly I hear a creaking sound of footsteps which stops me in my tracks scaring the hell out of me.
suddenly my door pops open and I see what looks to be a middle-aged woman with auburn hair and a button-up white tee shirt.
I look up at her my eyes wider than a doe's.
Definitely not Rick.
"Sorry if I scared you love, I see you're awake", she says staring at me with a fond look on her face.
The energy I get from her feels welcoming but I learned the hard way to not trust quickly so I keep my guard up regardless.
I stay silent looking up at her from the soft cotton blanket.
"That's one nasty head injury you got there", she says.
I reach up to touch it again briefly at the reminder of it before looking towards her again my eyes faded.
"I found you on the floor by the old gas station knocked out cold, who did this to you?", she asked an immense amount of concern on her face.
I gulp as the tears struggle to stay in as I recall the distant yet disturbingly clear memory.
After I tell the story her face is filled with horror and disbelief.
"What in tarnation we need to call the police and get you to a proper place to rest", she exclaims worried.
Something in me jumps in nervousness at that suggestion and I realize that is far from what I want.
"Wait- don't call anybody", I ask looking at her unnerved.
confusion paints her face while she looks at me.
I wasn't ready to go back and I'm not sure if I should.
