"Uh oh here she comes," I mumble just loud enough for Missy and Sasha to hear they look up at her laugh. 

"God she really brings down your mood, ey?" Missy says looking away laughing. 

"She's probably going to personally attack Dusty again," Sasha says. 

"Poor guy can't catch a break next thing you know, he's gunna be dead bleeding out in a ditch because of Harper," I say we all laugh and she comes over to us. 

"Hey guys, I know you don't want-" Harper starts. Sasha shakes her head.  

"No, I'm not gunna let you suck me into your negativity black hole, you're an emotional vampire, Harper, I watched a whole youtube video about it," Sasha says walking away from her Missy leaving too giving her a dirty look as she pulls my arm with her.

Missy has an assignment she needs to catch up on so the teacher made her stay in during break to do it so I'm standing with Amerie, Quinni and Darren. Amerie and I are civil now, no more arguing or death stares but I wouldn't say we are back to being bestie bestie. Darren is going on about them and Cash. 

"I'm literally the hottest thing on this side of the bridge and he is treating me like a foot fungus," They say posing for the camera, that Quinni is holding. "Cash is officially expired," They add. 

"Maybe he doesn't like boning as much as you do," I suggest, as Quinni pulls the polaroid out. 

"Oh please, have you seen who he hangs out with? If those Eshays aren't dealing drugs, they're wheeling with their dicks," They say, Quinni looking at the polaroid as it starts to develop. 

"Not everyone functions the way you do," Quinni says, Amerie puts her hand on the side of their shoulder. "And besides you haven't even had a conversation yet about what you're both looking for," Quinni says putting her hand overtop darrens. "That's something Sasha and I did when we first started dating," she adds.  

"Aw. Or I could just get shit-faced and forget he ever-existed," They say, the face slowly dawns with realisation. "Hey Amerie, your mum's working the night shift tonight yea?" they say looking at Amerie and I smile and hold Darren's arm realising what he was meaning. 

"Yea," she answers plainly.  

"Oh my god," I say holding Darren's arm and they look at me with a smile. 

"Listen up cum stains! Lonely hearts gatho at Amerie's tonight, BYO Alcohol you cheap, cheap hoes," They shout over the balcony as Amerie tries to shut him up. "And no year 7's" They say grimacing at year 7's. 

"No, that was a totally fabricated lie," Amerie says over the balcony.  

"Oh shit I hope not," Sasha says putting her arm around Quinni and smiles. 

"No, nothing's happening," Amerie says.  

"Are you serious? this is the first time in like months, anyone wants to hang out with you," I say looking at her. "You gotta do this it'll be a big comeback," I add. Darren looks at me and nods, They grab Amerie.  

"Okay this could be the biggest comeback since crop tops, you only get one shot at this," Darren tells Amerie and she looks between Darren and I.  

"Um, actually, yes, something is happening at my place tonight," Amerie says to Sasha with a smile.
