"Hey ginger." Amy said, emerging from her side of the clothing rack in their apartment, "I'm going out tonight was some of my boy toys. Do you and Shawshank wanna come?" She said, reaching into the cupboards to grab a bag of chips.

"...No thanks Amy." Chloe said after a moment of silence. "Beca isn't even off work yet. You can go have fun tho." She said with a smile, watching as Amy took the chips with her as she grabbed her purse and headed out the door.

"Well then, see you tomorrow probably!" Amy shouted, the door slamming behind her and leaving Chloe in silence. Sighing, she checked the time, seeing as it was almost time for dinner. She got up and made her way to the kitchen to see what she should make for her and her girlfriend when she got home.

Beca had been at work for over 14 hours that day.  She had been called into work at 4 am after only getting 3 hours of sleep. She couldn't even count the amount of times she had nodded off during the day, but she knew it was close to 15. She was sitting at her desk, waiting and hoping Theo liked the new song she had wrote.

A knock at the door startled her from her almost sleep. She gave the person a "Come in." in which they did. They stood right in front of her and began to give feedback.

"I really like this part of the song. It expressed so much love and emotion and I think it would go really good if you put a little bass to it and.." He began, getting interrupted by a very tired Beca.

"Theo, can this wait? I seriously can't even comprehend what you're saying right now." She rasped out resting her head on her hand and shutting her eyes.

"No, Beca. You need to listen to this feedback. As soon as you finished making these changes, you can go home." He said sternly, causing Beca to sigh and lift her head, giving him a very fake smile as he continued. This would be a long night.

Back at home, Chloe decided on making a stir fry for dinner. She checked the cupboards and fridge for all of the ingredients, seeing as she had everything. She began to chop all of the vegetables and whip up the sauce. As she grilled all of the ingredients, the amazing smell hit her nose, making her smile to herself. Beca always loved her stir fry. She always said it was the favorite thing Chloe made her. Knowing this, Chloe knew all the time she put into it was worth it.  She would do anything for Beca.

An hour later, Beca had finally finished revising her track. At this point, she could barely keep her eyes open. Theo listened to it once over while Beca sat beside him, eyes closed and half asleep.

"Okay, I like it. But this part right here.." Theo began.

"Theo," Beca pleaded, looking up at him with her tired eyes. "Can this wait til later. You said I could be done."

Theo thought for a long moment before finally deciding to let the brunette go, seeing as color began to fade from her face and exhaustion clearly present on her face.

Beca made her way to her car and drove home, very happy to finally be off work for the weekend. She parked her car in front of the apartment before sleepily reaching for her purse and keys and making her way upstairs.

Inside, Chloe had just finished the stir fry and knew that Beca would be home any minute. She had just plated the food when she heard keys turn in the door. Smiling happily, she watched as her girl walked through the door. Her smile faltered as she saw how Beca looked. Her eyes were barely open, her face was pale, and she was walking very sluggishly as she set her bag down on the ground.

"Hey Chlo." She rasped out, sensing her voice would be gone in just a few hours.

Chloe made her way over to her girlfriend, pulling her in for a long hug and feeling Beca go very limp in her arms. She pulled away after a few minutes and cupped Beca's cheek with her hand.

"Baby, you look like you're going to pass out." She worriedly said, scanning her eyes over the pale girls face.

"I feel like it too." She said quietly, leaning into Chloe's body and feeling the taller girls arms wrap around her tightly.

"Aw sweetheart." Chloe cooed, kissing her forehead, "I made stir fry. You wanna come eat a little and then we can go to bed?"

"Yeah," Beca mumbled, still limp in Chloe's embrace, "Thanks"

Chloe kissed her head once again and guided them over to the table where the plates were set up. Beca rested her head on her hand as she slowly ate, eyes shutting periodically as she couldn't stand to have them open any longer. This earned her a sympathetic wine as Chloe began to rub circles on her back as they ate.

After finishing dinner, Beca began to scrub some dishes in the sink when Chloe stood up to stop her.

"Beca, you're exhausted. Go lay down, I'll be there in a second."

Without another word, Beca made her way over to their bed and tucked herself under the covers. She let her eyes shut and relaxed her body. Just before she fell asleep, she felt a dip in the bed where Chloe had sat down. She immediately rolled over to face the ginger, resting her head in the crook of her girlfriend's neck and tangling their limbs together.

"I love you, Chloe." Beca muttered sleepily, feeling lips against her forehead.

"I love you too, Beca." Were the last words she heard before she was overtaken with sleep.
