Beca was very reluctant at Chloe's idea to stay at Aubrey's camp for the weekend. The world's were coming up soon and the brunette didn't think this was going to help them find their sound again. She knew, however, that she couldn't say no to Chloe. Her mind wouldn't let her.
So there she was, loading her packed bag into the bus and slumping into the back seat with her headphones on, knowing the camp didn't have internet and she wouldn't be able to make her music while she was there.
The drive there was a long and bumpy one. The girls all were doing their separate things, some on the phone with their partners or loved ones to tell them they wouldn't hear from them in the next few days. Once they arrived, the girls all grabbed their things and stepped out of the bus.
Beca got out last, immediately being hit with the faint smell of pine and the hot, muggy air. Looking around, there wasn't much. There was a building where the camp leaders and employees stayed in, as well as a shower building and a bathroom. Other than that, there was just trees, a small lake, some campfires that hadn't yet been lit for the day, and some tents from other campers. The brunette knew she was in for an experience.
"Alright girls!" Chloe called once everyone was out of the bus. "Aubrey said to tell you guys a few ground rules before we head over. First rule, never-"
As Chloe talked, Beca couldn't listen to anything she was saying. The way the afternoon sun was perfectly reflecting off of her face, giving her a beautiful glowing tint to her skin and making her bright blue eyes stand out was a scene from Beca's dreams. And the way she so passionately talked about the Bella's and what was in for them that weekend made her fall even more in love with her by the minute.
"Anyways, I hope you all paid attention, because these rules are very important to keep us safe." Chloe wrapped up, clapping her hands and offering a smile to the girls.
"Hey Bella's!" Aubrey said from behind the group.
Everyone immediately ran over to hug their former captain, even Beca, who despised the blonde at first.
"First, there's one tent at the corner of the woods. Everyone can have a few minutes to drop their things off and get settled. I'll meet you guys over there after taking care of a few... things." the blonde said, grabbing her fire extinguisher and a first aid kit.
"Ohhh-kay?" Beca said after she walked away, wondering what she was using it for.
The girls made their way over to their tent to put their stuff down. Chloe insisted on being next to Beca, not that the brunette could complain. Once settled, they sat along the walls inside the tent, talking about anything and everything.
"Do you think there will be a cute guy here that I can hook up with?" Stacie said, looking hopefully around at the girls with disgusted faces.
"Gross." Beca whispered to herself.
"Stacie, that's not- you know what? Never mind." Chloe said, brushing it off, knowing Stacie wouldn't listen to what she was going to say.
"There was a cute guy when we first walked in. He was tall and handsome and had blonde hair." Fat Amy said.
"Amy, that's Aubrey's brother." Chloe said, shocked that he was suggested by the Australian.
"I'm just saying, I'd smash." Amy said, grabbing a handful of chips from out of her purse.
"Do you always have to be eating?" Beca said as she watched the blonde take another handful out of her purse.
"Yeah, gotta fuel the beast." she commented, smacking her belly.
By the time Aubrey got to their tent, the sun had already gone down and she looked awful. She has scorch marks all over her face and her hands were black with smoke and ash.
