Beca doesn't know how to handle emotional situations. She barely knows how to handle her own feelings, let alone someone else's. She thinks she knows what's wrong, but can't know for sure.

The Bella's had been in a really rough spot lately. They performed at the Kennedy Center, only to have a little mishap and were suspended from competing. After that, they had a gig at a convention. That ended up with Cynthia Rose starting on fire and the whole thing was a hot mess.

Here Beca is, a few days later standing outside her co-captain, Chloe's door. Soft sobs could be heard from the other side, and Beca feels like she's suffocating. Suffocating because she didn't know what to do. She knew she couldn't leave Chloe alone, that was out of the question. But she didn't know how to comfort her. So she stood outside the door, hand on the doorknob and waited.

After a few more minutes, she takes a deep breath, turning the knob and walking into the room.

There, she found Chloe sitting on her desk chair facing away from her, arms resting on the desk and her head in her hands as her body shook with every new sob.

Beca's heart aches at the sight of her best friend being so emotional. She had never seen or heard Chloe openly sobbing before. She felt like there wasn't enough air in the room at that moment. But she knew Chloe knew she was there. So she sucked in a breath and walked slowly over to her.

"Hey," Beca said quietly, not knowing what else to say. "What's wrong?" she said, resting a soft hand on her back.

Chloe didn't say anything and instead suddenly spun the chair around to face Beca and clung onto the brunettes shirt and burying her head into her torso. Beca immediately wrapped her arms awkwardly around the girl and held her for a few moments and let her cry.

"S-sorry." Chloe whispered out, letting go of the brunette after a few minutes.

"Don't be sorry. Why don't we go sit on the bed and we can talk or whatever. Or maybe you just talk and I listen. Because you know I can't handle emotions very good and I-"

"Beca." Chloe cut her off with a soft voice.

"Sorry, yeah let's go sit down." she said before the two made their way over to the bed and sat down next to each other in silence for a moment.

"So, what's going on?" Beca asked softly after thinking for a few minutes on what she should say.

"I just-" Chloe started, choking down a sob before continuing. "I'm so stressed Beca. The Bella's aren't doing good. We're a complete disaster and I feel like it's my fault. After Fat Amy's accident, I feel like none of us are in sync anymore. All the girls are fighting constantly, no matter what I do to help them. And after yesterday's performance, it all hit me that if this doesn't get better, it will be the last of the Bella's. And I can't live with myself knowing I could have prevented this in some way or another. And you guys are my family. It's so hard to think about not having you guys in my life. I just can't handle all this pressure."

Beca sat silently for a moment, looking at Chloe who was fidgeting with her hands. She's never heard Chloe be this open and vulnerable before, and it scared her. She knew, however, she needed to make her feel better. She placed a hand on top of Chloe's to stop her nervous fidgeting.

"This is not your fault." she finally said. "I know being a captain is tough. Believe me, I feel lots of pressure too. But you're way too hard on yourself, Chlo. I know you want everything to be okay and perfect, but the other girls also have to pitch in their part. And at the moment, they aren't doing that. You're trying so hard Chloe and you're doing as much as you can. I'll go talk to the other girls later and tell them to get their heads out of their asses. And with the fighting and stuff, they just need to learn how to work together again. I say we do some Bella bonding soon, just to get everyone together and on the same page."

"But what if the Bella's don't win worlds? I don't want to be the reason there aren't any Bella's anymore." she said, looking down at her feet like she was going to cry again.

"Look at me. You'll be okay." Beca said, cupping her chin with her hand so their eyes made contact. "We will all be okay. If we don't win, it's okay. Unlike DSM, we really have nothing left to loose. They have a huge reputation to uphold and we already lost ours. No one's expecting us to win, but you know what? If we go out there like the Bella's we are, we will win."

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Chloe said, offering a small smile. "We really don't have anything to loose."

"Exactly. I'm proud of you. You do so much for us. Now, I should go talk to the other girls." she said, beginning to stand up and leave before hand pulled her back down to the bed.

"Wait!" Chloe said, "One more thing before you go."

"What is it?" Beca asked as she sat down next to Chloe and looked into her blue eyes.

Without warning, Chloe leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to the brunettes lips. She almost forgot to kiss her back until she remembered her dream was coming true. The kiss turned passionate and by the end of it, the girls faces were flushed and their breathing was labored as they rested their forehead's together.

"I've wanted to do that for so long." Beca finally broke the silence after a few minutes.

"Me too." Chloe said with a smile before pulling her in for another kiss.
