Chloe knew when her girlfriend had bad anxiety some days. Chloe could always sense it was a bad day by the tense look in Beca's body the second she walked into a room. This day was one of those days where Beca just couldn't seem to relax.

Chloe was sitting on the couch in the Bella's house, watching TV when Beca walked through the front door, setting her keys down and unlacing her shoes.

"Hey Becs!" Chloe said, smiling at her girlfriend.

"Hey Chlo." Beca said, walking over to her girlfriend and giving her a quick kiss before heading upstairs to work on her laptop.

"Where you going?" Chloe asked.

"Work on a song." Beca said, not turning to look back at her girlfriend as she ascended the stairs.

Chloe thought this was odd, but let her be. Maybe she just had a stressful day.

A few hours later, Beca still hadn't come back down stairs. It was at this point when Chloe decided she should go check on her girlfriend.

"Hey." Chloe said, walking into Beca's room to find her staring at her laptop screen.

"Hey." Beca said back, not looking away.

"What are you working on?" Chloe asked, hovering over her girls chair.

"I'm trying to make this song perfect." Beca said, still typing away at her computer.

"Beca, you've been working on this for hours. You need to relax." Chloe said softly, her heart aching as she sensed how stressed Beca was.

"I'm fine Chlo, i'm almost done." She said, letting out a frustrated sigh. "I just need this to be perfect." She said, her voice cracking slightly.

"Relax." Chloe said gently, snapping Beca out of whatever tense state she had put herself into as she relaxed her shoulders and slumped into the chair. Chloe kissed her temple before spinning her around. "Talk to me. Is it about your producer?"

Beca didn't respond to her. All she could think about was the exact words her producer had told her that day. She tried to forget about those comments, but they all came flooding back at once.

She began to shake slightly and realized her fingers were going numb while her head began to feel light.

Chloe looked at her girlfriend whose face was quickly turning pale and her body began to shake slightly.

"Okay," Chloe said, immediately kneeling down in front of Beca so they were at the same level. "Hey you're having a panic attack. I need you to focus on my voice, okay?"

Beca's eyes met Chloe's, giving her a small nod as her breaths came out as panicked gasps of air.

"I need you to try and match your breathing to mine okay? In and out slowly."

Chloe tried to take slow breaths for Beca to follow, but her panic was too intense. She began to hyperventilate, clutching her chest.

Knowing there wasn't much left to do, Chloe gently cupped Beca's face in her hands, making sure she was looking into her eyes.

"I've got you baby. You're safe." She said reassuringly, ignoring the stinging in her heart as she watched tears run down Beca's face. "Just try and breathe for me. Focus on my voice.

Beca kept staring into Chloe's eyes, that being the only thing keeping her focused as she tried to breathe. Slowly but surely, her breathing began to return to normal and she slowly stopped shaking.

Once Beca's breathing with more steady, Chloe pulled her in for a hug. "Breathe, sweetheart." she said quietly, stroking her girlfriend's back until she went limp.

"You're okay." Chloe said, pulling back from the hug and wiping tears from Beca's face.

"Im so tired." Beca mumbled, slumped in her chair as her eyes began to shut.

"I know baby." Chloe said sympathetically, still holding Beca's face in her hands.

"I'm gonna pass out." She slurred, feeling her eyelids become heavy.

Chloe picked up her girlfriend and carried her to bed, laying down and letting Beca position herself on top of her.

"You okay sweetie?" Chloe asked, stroking Beca's hair gently.

"Yeah." She said, wrapping her arms even tighter around her girlfriend. "I've never had a panic attack before." Her voice wavered.

"I know Beca." Chloe said, kissing the top of her head, "You're safe now though. I got you."

And with that being said, Beca fell asleep, laying on top of her girlfriend.
