16. Loki

The sky was full of storm clouds and thunder boomed from every direction.

Crypt wasn't going to be able go keep the plane up for much longer. A flash of lightning lit up the sky revealing a dark shape landing on the plane. It walked towards her. It had horns and was holding daggers and...

"Loki?!"

Loki stopped right in front of her and and he looked a mix of relieved, hurt, worried and all of joy all at the same time. He cupped her face in his hand and kissed her lips. Crypt still looked like a Scinlæce and her red hands slowly moved to Loki's biceps. They parted. "When you disappeared and the Avengers didn't know where you were I thought that I-I would never see you again" he said, his voice thick with emotion.

This was the first time he had properly seen her real form

"Do you... are you... afraid of me?" Crypt said as she looked at the ground. A moment passed and fear set in. Was he going to say yes? Loki lifted her chin to look at him and he had reverted to his Frost Giant appearance. "No" he said firmly.

"I could kill you" she replied.

"So could I" Loki smiled. Crypt's draining energy was forgotten when Loki pressed his lips onto hers and she reciprocated. Crypt wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged Loki tight to her.
