20. After hospital

After the doctors found out that all she needed was blood they wired Crypt up and she was able to leave in a few hours.

When she looked in the mirror she no longer saw a scary monster from nightmares, she saw that last one of her kind and perhaps the best one. However Crypt did tend to remain in her human form especially when out in public.

Nat would not leave her alone wanting to know everything. It was a change from her normal super spy attitude which was nice. Nick Fury had been neutralised, after the co-operation with Odin, by the council and nobody missed him. Even Tony had warmed up to her, especially when she shifted to her fox form and found his car keys.

Despite all these positive changes Crypt hadn't seen Loki since the blood transfer and the questions on why kept buzzing around her head.

A day later Crypt made a small grave for Vas and the hole he had left in her heart had healed but the new one Loki had made was still sore.

Soon after that a meeting was held and everyone was waiting for her when she entered the room, including Loki. Tony stood up and walked over to her.

"This is an official invitation to join the Avengers" he said. "As S.H.I.E.L.D is, well, in turmoil you will have to wait for debriefing if you choose to accept". Crypt thought about it.

"Do you want me?" she asked. This seemed to throw some of the team as after everything that had happened they were expecting a straight no. Natasha stood up, walked over and held Crypt's hand, looking her in the eye. "Yes" she said.

"Well, okay then" Crypt answered. Tony then guided her to a blonde woman with a camera. She was to have photo's taken of her for her profile. The blonde woman was introduced as Pepper Potts and she took some photos. There was an awkward silence and Tony said that they would have to take a photo of her in every form.

Crypt quickly changed into her Scinlæce appearance and a photo was taken and then her fox before returning to human. Nat then took Crypt to a seat on the sofa next to her and Steve stood up. "As Fury is um incapacitated we need a new leader and now that we have our new member we can vote". For a bunch of people who were not normal they were still rather diplomatic.

Everyone wrote who they wanted to lead on a piece of paper and then J.A.V.I.S scanned them all. Most popular vote was Stark.

Everyone left and continued their day and Crypt left for the balcony. She was an Avenger, she had a team who loved her, it was all happening so quickly. She gripped the glass railing, her human hands were delicate but deceiving Crypt knew what she could do and to exactly what lengths she would go to protect her family.
