I woke up to a weight on top of me that I didn't understand but didn't seem to mind. My whole body was relaxed while I took in this familiar and comforting scent, and a part of me figured out that the weight was an arm connected to the comforting scent.

I kept my eyes closed while I enjoyed being in the presence of the scent and waited for my memory to catch up and figure out why I was in bed with something on top of me.

What happened to me..? What's going on..?

Glimpses of what happened flashed through my mind, the nervousness of leaving a mess for someone else to clean up getting the best of me and passing out because of a panic attack that was unwanted and unneeded.

Instantly, I opened my eyes and sat up while I looked around the room to notice that it was a hell of a lot darker than it had been beforehand.

What time is it now..? Where was I..?

Something shifted beside me, and I instantly turned that way, balling my hand into a fist but not attacking when the thing moved behind me.

"Fox?" the thing behind me asked, sounding a lot like my mate but also groggy. "Are you ok?"

I relaxed ever so slightly and placed my hand down into my lap, even though I kept it balled in a fist. "Yes," I said right off the bat, not going into any detail with how I was feeling and what had happened.

My mate shifted and turned on his bedside lamp, surrounding us in a dim yellow glow. He frowned and blinked while he turned to look at me and sat up, and I could tell that he didn't believe me when I said that I was ok.

I bit back a small sigh and shook my head, not knowing why he bothered to ask me if I was ok when he knew that I wouldn't tell me. "I am, Lorcian," I said while I pressed my lips into a thin line. "Why do you not believe me?"

"Because I do not believe you," he replied, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes and snort. "So, are you ok?" He paused and tucked his head closer to his chest while he looked at me with pain filling his eyes. "Please, tell me the truth, Fox," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Don't lie. Are you ok?"

I pressed my lips into a thin line and narrowed my eyes a little, not knowing why he called me "Fox" when he knew who I was, what my real name was. "Say my name," I said, not answering his question, and Lorcian raised an eyebrow in question while amusement filled his eyes.

"Fox," he said and tucked his head closer to his chest, biting back a small smile on his face. "Your n-"

"Not that one, Lorcian," I said with a shake of my head. "Say my name."

Lorcian bit back a small chuckle and took me into his arms, moving so that he was on top of me, and my heart skipped a beat before it started to pound hard and fast in my chest. Something in his eyes aroused me, and I bit back a small gasp while he placed his lips on mine.

I answered his kiss with one of mine, even though I rolled my eyes because he hadn't done what I had told him to do. "Lorcian," I said, my voice barely above a whisper when he pulled away so that we could breathe. "Say my name."

Lorcian chuckled and kissed me again. "Jo Anne," he whispered on my lips before he pressed another lingering kiss onto them. "My sweet Jo Anne."

My wolf and fox spirit growled in response. They urged me to take him right then and there, sending my body into overdrive in a way that only he would be able to take care of.

Lorcian growled when he smelt my lust and kissed me harder. He moved me until I was laying down with him still on top of me, not breaking the kiss at all. His hands moved along my body, leaving a trail of sparks in its wake and making me want him more.

Oh, Goddess...

I growled and pulled him closer to me, making sure that I didn't break the kiss at all, and the urge to go further grew stronger.

And for once, I listened...

I moved my hands until I was grabbing the edge of his shirt and started to pull it without breaking the kiss.

Lorcian moved his hands from my waist and helped me pull his shirt off of his body and tossed it somewhere, breaking the kiss only for a second before he attacked my lips again with his.

Oh, sweet Goddess...

My mate grabbed the edge of my shirt and started to pull mine off as well, and I growled before I helped him as well, earning a small chuckle from my mate. He took my shirt from me and tossed it somewhere before he pressed his lips back onto mine.

But after a while, he stopped kissing me on the lips and started to kiss me on the side of my face and then down my neck, and I bit back a small groan while he continued his attack on my body with his lips.

I closed my eyes and groaned again, pushing myself against him and giving him more space so that he could have more access to my neck, my heart pounding hard and fast in my chest while he did so.

Oh, sweet, sweet, Goddess...

I grabbed my mate's belt and started to take it off while he continued to kiss and bite my neck with his hands moving across my body, and I couldn't help but bite back a small moan while I thrusted my body against his.

I pulled his belt off and tossed it to the side before I grabbed the button off of his pants so that I could take it off, and that instantly seemed to snap my mate out of this lustful gaze that we found ourselves in and grabbed my hands to stop me from doing so.

He pulled his mouth off of my neck and looked at me, his eyes dark and filled with lust, and both of us were breathing heavily while I opened my eyes so that we could stare at each other. "Not yet," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

I couldn't help but frown and slowly blinked while I tucked my head closer to my chest. I didn't say a word while I stared at him, my eyes a darker color while I stared at him, hating that he stopped us from doing this again.

My mate bit back a small chuckle and placed another kiss on my head before he pulled away. "I'm sorry, my love, but I don't think we should do this just yet. We can't, not yet at least."

He placed another kiss on my lips, and I kissed him back. "But we will continue with this later, and we will go all the way later. I promise."
