After eating and cleaning, I helped my mate lie comfortably on the oversized couch.

Then, I tied up the remnants, tucking them neatly into plastic containers before nestling them inside the refrigerator and returning them to him.

On my way, I dimmed the headlights, leaving only the moonlight and twinkling lights strung around the palm trees while the soft melody of the music played in the background.

My mate's eyes, a striking fusion of blue and gray, twinkled under the moon's gaze, echoing the light of the night's fireflies. Simultaneously, a serene song hummed quietly, filling the background.

As night descended, the forest woke up, becoming a grand stage for creatures that moved in the darkness. The air vibrated with the hum of cicadas. Crickets contributed with their chirps, punctuating the night's silence. Occasionally, a beetle would break the silence with its buzz, its wings stirring the still air.

Aiyden and I were immersed in our universe, passionately planning our subsequent actions. We spread out comfortably on the oversized couch on the deck. I lay on my side, leaning against the backrest, while my hand traced patterns gently on his back in a contemplative rhythm.

Our bodies fit together like two pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, our legs entwined in a sweet tangle, silently declaring our unbreakable bond. The moonlight bathed us, casting a soft glow on our faces.

The rhythm of our breaths was a soothing lullaby. I wrapped my arms protectively around Aiyden's waist. At the same time, he nestled into me, a soft sigh escaping his lips as he found his perfect spot in the crook of my shoulder.

I made an unheard-of decision—I agreed to let Carlos stand as Beta by my mate's side. Since my son was the Protector of Aiyden, his role as Beta would benefit everyone. This matter also needed to be discussed with Javier, as Javier is Carlos's other father.

I agree to help with Aiyden's vision—a refuge for the abused, werewolves and humans alike. My wealth was substantial enough to make the idea a reality, even if the Council did not lend their support, which I completely doubted.

Elder Jonas, now the head of the Werewolf Council, had become a constant visitor to the pack. With the backing of the allied packs, Aiyden and I was confident this would be a done deal.

"Hey, love," I cooed, trying to draw Aiyden's attention away from the warmth of my skin. He responded with a soft hum, settling his shin on my chest. With a gentle tug, I guided his gaze back to mine, his eyes filled with curiosity. I leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to his forehead.

"We need to get the pups's room ready to buy everything they need; we could go to the mall or order everything online. We must see Dr. Chang tomorrow morning to ensure the pups are alright."

My mate's smile was a masterpiece—a blend of anticipation and tenderness. "Slow down, love. I've been doing some research," he admitted, his lips grazing mine in a gentle caress. "I've got a few thoughts for the pups's room."

His kisses were light and sweet, sending shivers down my spine each time our lips touched, sending blood rushing to my veins and making my cock hardened. The sensation was almost unbearable, but I knew I had to keep my composure.

After all, we had the whole night ahead of us, and it was a special one. "I spoke to Alyssa; we still have time."

My mate kept talking. His smile widened at my raised eyebrow, "Don't worry, I didn't spill the beans. I wanted us to decide first, and I'd rather keep it a secret until after the first trimester. Trayvon will be the only one I'll tell...you can tell your brother if you want." He shrugged nonchalantly.

Aiyden nibbled on his lower lip, a sign of his inner turmoil. "I have a concern," he voiced, the sadness in his tone matching the one I could feel emanating from him. "It's about Trayvon. If we make this house our home, he'll be left alone in the Pack House."

His words struck a chord in me, and I nodded in understanding. I pulled Aiyden closer, tightening my hold on him. The idea of moving and leaving his brother behind had stirred a storm of worry and sadness within him.

"Sweetheart," I murmured, pulling him closer, "your brother won't be alone. They'll watch over him: Javier, the Elders, and the rest."

Aiyden's eyes searched mine, his voice barely audible. "It's not about that. We've never been apart, and I've always protected him. It's hard for me, you know."

I leaned in, my breath brushing his skin. "I'll tell you a secret," I smiled at him, whispering the secret into his ear. His body shivered at my touch, and his eyes widened in surprise as he listened to my words.

His heart pounded against my chest, his excitement palpable. "Really?" I nodded, seeing his excitement.

Our conversation was interrupted by Alex's voice over the link. "Alpha, sorry to interrupt, but we've got the motherfuckers."

Aiyden's smile widened at the news. "You didn't kill them, did you?" I ask.

Manuel's chuckle echoed. "No, but they won't forget the beating we gave them. We're on our way back to the pack."

I sighed, torn between relief and dread. "Let Javier know, and make sure Jeremy checks on them. And leave Dr. Chang alone—Goddess knows he needs time with his mate."

Alex's acknowledgment came swiftly. "As you wish, Alpha. Remember, we have a meeting with the Alphas tomorrow; they should arrive in the morning." I responded, my voice steady.

"Don't worry; we'll be there on time." After closing the link, I focused on the task ahead—my beautiful mate.
