THREE MONTHS LATER
The sun blazed in the azure sky, its rays filtering through the dense canopy, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor. The air was crisp and refreshing, filled with the earthy aroma of pine and moss—a stark contrast to the recent turmoil.
Though the war had ended, its scars were etched deeply in our hearts.
The rogue doctor, sentenced to death for treason and his heinous experiments on our kind, met his end at the hands of the Werewolf Council's enforcers.
The hunters who survived the war vanished, and the council dealt with them secretly. Elder Jonas assured us that our kind was safe, declaring that the last of the supernatural hunters had been eradicated. He made sure no member of Palestki's family remained to threaten us again.
Palestky appeared to be the last surviving member of his immediate family. Werewolf Councils were closely monitoring the rest across the globe. A few hours following the war, Aiyden and Trayvon, together with council members Branden-lee, Gabriel, Carlos, Manuel, and a contingent of our warriors, stormed the clinic where the gruesome experiments had taken place.
They rescued the children and two adult Omegas, but the remaining rogues were beyond saving and had to be put down.
Despite our mates' powers, their lives couldn't be spared, after, they burned the place down. The people who were working there were taken into custody.
The silver lining was Elder Jonas finding his second chance mate among the Omegas—a twenty-nine-year-old man on the brink of death, now slowly recuperating with the help of Dr. Johnson, Dr. Ananya, Elder Ruth, and our mates.
Elder Jonas told us that he already knew because the Moon Goddess told him when she gave him the gift and whispered in his ear the day of the war.
Further investigation revealed that Paletsky and Luis had been procuring pups and human children from orphanages all over the world that sold the orphan children to them. The orphanages were in the US, South and Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
The human government raided and shut down these orphanages with the Werewolves Councils.
The rescued pups and human children were then transferred to our pack. Since the new Organization building was still under construction, we made room for them at the pack house under the care and protection of Aiyden, Trayvon, Elder Ruth, and Gabriel—thirty in total.
We also discovered that Camilla had given birth to a baby girl, who was now raised by Elder Victor and his mate Eva.
Camilla's sentence of death was overruled with the help of Elder Victor, who begged the Werewolves Council and Elder Jonas to pardon her life.
